Malcontents revisited

Would you vote for a malcontent?
A common term we see David Israel espouse is "Malcontent" a term akin to "enemy of the people".
This term automatically makes it unnecessary to prove the errors of anyone engaged in controversy. It makes possible the use of repressive behavior. It makes it difficult to engage in any kind of ideological fight, and even more difficult to make one's views known or accepted, even if those views are of practical nature.
David Israel acts not with cooperation. he acts by the imposition of his ideas, and he demands absolute submission to his opinion. Opposition to his ideas or objection to the correctness of his position leads to removal, or exclusion from his administration, and attempts at moral annihilation.
His endorsement of candidates, whom he favors in the coming election, is an obvious attempt to stack the administration with officers who he believes will submit to his will without objection.
We should ask if this is the way we want our administration to run.

Cable News

So, the March 2 delegate Assembly meeting has a planned vote for the choice of which cable provider we are going to choose. The choice is only Atlantic, no wait, the choice is only Comcast. It should be both, plus more.

For the moment there is no contract. So there is no reason we cannot vote for whom we like. I like Comcast.

This could change, up to voting time.

So, without a contract, what are we voting for? and who?

So, as you see the Great One has taken full charge of this election. So first he tells us, or rather leaks it, that the only applicant is Atlantic. Then Ed Grossman made his phone call to Comcast, and the next thing we hear is that Comcast is the preferred Vendor. Strange.

What is happening here is that David Israel wanted Atlantic, but then he looked at the Comcast offer, and so the preferred Vendor magically changed to Comcast.

But wait, where are the rest of the bidders? Should we not have at least 5 bidders? I don't believe there are no bidders that are interested. We are supposed to be a plum.  There are others out there but if we leave it up to Israel to make our choices, we will lose our choices. Until we get a choice, vote NO on anything Israel brings up.

Now let's look at what is happening with CSI. This Company is hired as advisor. An advisor as to what Cable Vendor we should use and what we want and should insist on as far as amenities that should be provided.

But why should we limit it to only one (1) company. No! There are other companies there. They are salivating for the job. And I don't think we should not use them, we should, but the mistake is allowing D.Israel to be the only one to make the selection. That is wrong. The choice is ours, the delegate Assembly.

At this meeting one of these businesses explained what they can do. It was enlightening.

For instance, why pay $450,000 for a recommendation. It is available for a lot less. Who in his right mind signs a contract for almost a $1/2 million to recommend who to use and what to have them supply us with. Outrageous.

Take a look at this. Substitute Israel for Trump and see what you come with.

The Trump resistance movement is stretching its wings, engaging its muscles and feeling its power. It is large and strong and tough. It has moved past debilitating grief and into righteous anger, assiduous organization and pressing activism.
Welcome to the dawn of the fighting-mad majority: The ones who didn’t vote for Trump and maybe even some who now regret that they did.
They are charging forward under the banner of sage wisdom that has endured through the ages: Show up, get loud and fight back. Do it with your body and words, with your time and money, with every fiber of yourself. They see what this dawning regime means and they don’t intend, not even for a second, to wait around to see what happens. “What happens” is happening right now and it’s horrific.
Donald Trump is a vulgar, uninformed, anti-intellectual, extremely unpopular grifter helming a family of grifters who apparently intend to milk their moment on the mount for every red cent.
Trump still hasn’t released his taxes or fully disconnected from his businesses. His wife is suing The Daily Mail because she believes the newspaper may have injured her “unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” to “have garnered multimillion-dollar business relationships for a multiyear term.” When his daughter Ivanka’s clothing line was dropped by Nordstrom, Trump lashed out at the retailer on Twitter, citing Ivanka as something of his moral compass: “My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!” This begs the question: “Why do you need someone to push you to do the right thing?”

Then, top Trump adviser Kellyanne “QVC” Conway, from the confines of the White House briefing room, said during a televised interview: “Go buy Ivanka’s stuff is what I would say.” She continued: “I’m going to give a free commercial here: Go buy it today, everybody; you can find it online.”

Unethical is too kind a word for these classless cretins. Furthermore, Trump has nominated, and his Republican conspirators in the Senate have confirmed, a rogues’ gallery of some of the least qualified, most questionable appointees in recent memory. Aside from some of them being the fiercest critics of the very agencies they are charged with leading, some have also been accused of bigotry, plagiarism, insider trading and overall vacuousness.
Trump’s Muslim ban has also been an absolute disaster and has met some much-applauded resistance in court, most recently with the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit rebuking the administration’s lawyers like children.
This administration is already manifesting as the disaster we knew it would be; the stench of its rot surrounds us. What is there to wait and see? A rose will never bloom from a weed; you must snatch that thing up at first sight, by the root.
That is why you are seeing so much grass-roots resistance from a multiplying array of groups. One of the most prominent is called “Indivisible.” The Nation interviewed Ezra Levin, a former Democratic staffer and co-founder of the project and reported on the exchange: “Levin says that Indivisible built on the Tea Party’s model of ‘practicing locally-focused, almost entirely defensive strategy.’ This, he adds, ‘was very smart, and it was rooted in an understanding of how American democracy works. They understood that they didn’t have the power to set the agenda in Washington, but they did have the ability to react to it. It’s Civics 101 stuff — going to local offices, attending events, calling their reps.”
I would add that these groups are practicing one of the most effective tactics of confronting power: disruption. Town hall meetings have been disrupted; protesters disrupted Education Secretary Betsy Devos’s plans to enter a Washington school.
Disruption works!
When Frederick Douglass attacked Abraham Lincoln by saying that he “seems to possess an ever increasing passion for making himself appear silly and ridiculous, if nothing worse,” Douglass was being disruptive.
suffragists paraded through Washington, they were being disruptive.
When Rosa Parks refused to surrender her seat, she was being disruptive.
When civil rights activists marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, they were being disruptive.
When LGBT people fought back at The Stonewall Inn, they were being disruptive.
When Act Up flooded Times Square, they were being disruptive.
When Occupy Wall Street refused to move from their parks, they were being disruptive.
When Black Lives Matter took to the streets and ground traffic to a halt, they were being disruptive.
When Native Americans stood in resistance at Standing Rock, they were being disruptive.
When Elizabeth Warren persisted, she was being disruptive.
Disruption is not a dirty word; in this environment, it’s a badge of honor.
Yes, it’s important to show up on Election Day, but it is also important to show up on the hundreds of days before and after. This is what the resistance movements are saying to Trump and his America: Buckle your seatbelts because massive disruption is in the offing.
Trump is not normal. He is not competent. And we will not simply sit back and suck it up.

I am not interested in responding, but...

I was amazed to see Bob Rivera's comments posted on David Israel's blog. I am not interested in responding to his allegations about me as I don't think my personal affairs ar any of his business.

However, I would like to comment on his postings in general.
He went to great lengths to find some issue that he could use to advantage in his campaign to discredit me.

He published the details of a residence in Royal palm Beach registered in the same name I possess. he apparently spent some effort in searching the databases for something,  finding a house registered to my name is the best he could do.  Whether or not this home is owned by me is neither here nor there. But the fact that he would go to those lengths and publish those details on David Israel's blog is a pretty good indication of the underhanded tactics he and David Israel employ.

Further postings suggest that I don't even bother paying rent. That is an unfounded and scurrilous allegation. His belief that only property owners have a stake in the village harks back to a period in American history when elections were dominated by male landowners. Concepts that are antiquated, outdated and overthrown long ago.

Does Mr. Rivera believe that the same principle of exclusion should be practiced in federal and State elections? One would have to think so in digesting his stated position on the matter.

I don't think that I have to explain my reasons for renting a unit rather than purchasing. Suffice to say that my time of the last few years has been divided between relaxing in Florida and working in Canada, My last project in Canada lasted for just over a year, during that time I continued to be involved in CV matters as I have always been a proponent of civil rights, and fair treatment for all. My conscience would never permit me to turn my back on the commitment I made to my friends and neighbors in Century Village. whether i am here or somewhere else.

Mr.Rivera and all residents of the village can rest assured that I fully intend to continue my efforts to bring truth to light in Century village no matter the slings and arrows of the misguided.

Fences

Our Changing Times  Or What A Fence Used to Be
Stew Richland
Most of us are old enough to remember the song sung by Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters
Don't Fence Me In (1934)
Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above
Don't fence me in
Let me ride through the wide open country that I love
Don't fence me in
Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze
And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees
Send me off forever but I ask you, please
Don't fence me in
Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle
Underneath the western skies
On my Cayuse, let me wander over yonder
Till I see the mountains rise

Well that’s how Americans viewed our nation at that time.  Many of the movies being produced were Western themed.  We had heroes like Tom Mix, Gene Autry and Bill Cody ( many of these six-gun toting  icons had handles such as “The Durango Kid,”  “Bronco Billy,” or the “Cisco Kid.”) riding the open range and catching the rustlers and preventing wars between the sodbuster and the cattle barons.

American immigration history was based on the ideas expressed in lyrics of the song.  The government of the United States had millions of acres of land that they wanted to be settled.  The largest flow of migrants to the U.S. occurred in 1849 when gold was discovered in California.  Thousands rushed to the west coast to seek the riches that were waiting for them to scoop up from the flowing streams.  Sadly most of those that wanted to get rich quick were quickly disappointed.  However, most of these dreamers remained in America and added their energies to make America a rich powerful nation. In the 1870’s Horace Greeley made popular the phrase  “Go West Young Man.”  Greeley was a great supporter of Westward expansion and shared the national conviction that it was the manifest destiny of America to conquer and civilize the land between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. By 1900 the government declared that there was no free land available for homesteading and our national immigration policies were under review.  In addition, the American industrial economy was exploding and the demand for cheap labor was on the rise.  The government saw vast trade potential in the Asian markets and their foreign policies reflected this view.
These events were eventually going to impact our views on immigration. My purpose is to review American immigration policy and to provide a logical and rational reason why our government has rejected the “Don’t Fence Me In” policy to “Fences Make Good Neighbors.”

Time: Circa 1900’s. Place: New York harbor. Event: Ship carrying hundreds of immigrants from Eastern European ports of departure.  Place of embarkation: Ellis Island.  Process:  Immigrants embark ship and are sent to the Great Hall and eventually are required to line up to be processed.  American immigration personnel examines immigrant papers.  All those in line have legal documents, obtained from American government allowing the immigrants to enter the United States. During the vetting process, immigrants are asked if they have a sponsor.  Why?  Fear on the part of the government that the new immigrants would become wards of the state.  When proof is shown or sponsor is present, immigrants move on to the medical exam line.  Any immigrant that is sick, or found to have communicable diseases are denied entry to the United States. Those rejected are sent back to the nation of origin.  When healthy they can apply for re-admittance.  This was the process that those who desired to enter the United States followed.  Unfortunately for these Eastern European the government of the United States changed the immigration laws.
The Immigration Act of 1924 limited the number of immigrants allowed entry into the United States through a national origins quota. The quota provided immigration visas to two percent of the total number of people of each nationality in the United States as of the 1890 national census. It completely excluded immigrants from Asia.  The 1917 Immigration Act implemented a literacy test that required immigrants over 16 years old to demonstrate basic reading comprehension in any language. It also increased the tax paid by new immigrants upon arrival and allowed immigration officials to exercise more discretion in making decisions over whom to exclude.  The 1924 Immigration Act also included a provision excluding from entry any alien who by virtue of race or nationality was ineligible for citizenship. This meant that Asians, especially Japanese immigrants would not be allowed into the United States.

ON DAVID ISRAEL’S BLOG, WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT CENTURY VILLAGE, HE POSTED HIS RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE MARCH 3, 2017 UCO ELECTION. HE ADVISED YOU TO ONLY VOTE FOR  THE TWO  INDIVIDUALS HE WANTED IN THE POSITION OF VICE PRESIDENT AND   FOR ONLY SEVEN OF  THE TWELVE OPEN POSITIONS ON THE EXECUTIVE BOARD. HE ONLY WANTED HIS PEOPLE TO SERVE.
Can you guess why?

If the vice presidency and   executive board is only comprised of people who only agree with him, and there is no one to dissent, he can continue to sign millions of dollars of contracts without complains or delegate approval.
I suggest you think seriously when you vote in this election. We want people who will look after our interests, not theirs.
THANKS TO DONALD TRUMP AND THE REPUBLICAN SENATORS, MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE ARE NOW ALLOWED TO HAVE FIREARMS.

Do you think this was a wise decision on the part of the Republicans?

Saturday, February 18, 2017

Your vote counts!

So, there is an election coming up on March 3. So far the only opinion I see is the Great ones (David Israel). I think that we should vote for those people that offer us change, real change. I think we must pay attention to the shenanigans of David Israel. We can't just sit here and allow this guy to run everything.

As for myself, I feel these people will offer real change. Olga Wolkenstein and Ed Grossman are the doers in this village. . They will start some changes. All you have to do is give them your vote.

You know you do not need to vote for every candidate. Just voting for these two is enough. Getting these two on their boards is enough to force some change. Do it and watch.

And the scam continues Unabated.

SCANDALS  ---  PART 10

AND THE SCAM CONTINUES UNABATED.....THE BIGGEST SCANDAL OF ALL TIME IN CENTURY VILLAGE.

Scam?  What scam?  The WPRF/Benenson Capital scam, that scam.  Why is it a scam,? ---- because the people
of Century Village have literally been cheated out of their money, -- just like the pea and the walnut shell game,
that's how.

Can you be more specific?  Of course.  ALL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORK ACCORDING TO THE MILLENNIUM
AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENTS THERETO, ARE THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF UCO, WHO REPRESENTS 309
CORPORATIONS, OR 7,854 UNIT OWNERS, I.E., THEY MAKE FULL PAYMENT FOR SAME UNDER THE HEADING
OPERATING EXPENSES.  OKAY, ALL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT WORK ACCORDING TO THE MILLENNIUM AGREEMENT AND AMENDMENTS THERETO, ARE THE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY,  OR WPRF/BENENSON CAPITAL, I.E., THEY MAKE FULL PAYMENT FOR SAME.  THOSE ARE THE ABSOLUTE FACTS.

Is there an argument there?  Yes.  There always has been, but nobody dares to bring it up; that is not only sheepish and
cowardly but extremely costly to Unit Owners,  --- like
e x t r e m e l y.  The Management Company dictates to UCO that everything was done, whether interior or exterior, to the Clubhouse and adjoining property, are Maintenance and repairs and considered Operating Expenses, whether it's changing a door lock worth $50. or replacing an entire air-conditioning system worth $800,000.

Of all the years the Millennium Agreement has been in existence, never has the difference of opinion as to whether an item of work is Maintenance and Repair or as a legally defined Capital Improvement been taken to Arbitration.  The Millennium agreement provides for Dispute Resolution (Arbitration), 4 pages, so why are the people of CV so afraid to move on it....there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Millions of dollars have already been lost by sitting back and doing nothing. But, everybody says that it's up to the President; no it isn't!  It's up to the people, in fact, it's up to the Board of Directors, commonly known as the Delegates, to instruct the President.

Look at the records for the past 16 plus years.  There has never been a matter brought to Arbitration because of a dispute as to who pays for CV work.  We are talking about millions of dollars, and because the Management Company plays the Millennium Agreement interpreter, the Judge and the jury, -- and under threat of shutting down everything if they don't get their way, ---that is the SCAM and more appropriately, -- the SCANDAL.

One previous UCO President let it all happen with nobody caring about what he was doing.  One other UCO President was receiving monies on the side that amounted to thousands of dollars and then merely faded away.  Even another UCO President conjured up his own secret side deals and caved in to Management, and eventually he had to get out of the Village or face legal consequences. And now the present UCO President, with all the pertinent records in hand must have something going or he would have immediately stepped up and acted, and did what a President should do for all of the Unit Owners.......fight for what is right and known to be true.  Ask ---- what private deal has he got going?  Any reasonably thinking person would be compelled to ask that question.

Just stop and think.... THINK!!!   What right does a WPRF attorney have to state in writing that the intended new air-conditioning system is not a Capital Improvement; that it's Maintenance and Repair, or what the attorney wants to call an Operating Expense.  To put that in writing reveals that she knows absolutely nothing about architecture and engineering, and recognized standards.  And, the UCO President says nothing and does nothing.  Is this a joke.....is this a $800,000. joke?  So, somebody, like a Committee Member, who really doesn't know anything about anything, says, --- "Well, it's always been that way, so why change it now?"  This is the mentality we have today, and when the costs to every Unit Owner goes so high, history reveals that they just get up, deny everything, and leave rather than fight for truth and justice.

THE SCANDAL OF CENTURY VILLAGE OF WEST PALM BEACH.  This happens right before your very eyes, and the leader,
the UCO President, looks the other way and does nothing.  He dictates to the zombie-like, hypnotized Delegates.  This is a story for "60 MINUTES."

A SCAM  is a SCAM is a SCAM.  Give this entire matter to a first year law student and we, the people of CV, will win........
g  u  a  r  a  n  t  e  e  d.

Thank you David Israel for showing us your true colors again.

You deleted the majority of my campaign speech on your blog because you were so afraid the residents would find out what a treacherous liar you are. The NSA taught you well.

Oh, by the way, if your friend , the traitor, Bob Marshall gets  elected Vice President, let’s hope he can stay awake at the meetings.

What would you do?

Talk about Muslims. President Donald Trump puts a halt on all immigrants coming into this country from seven Muslim countries.  Have a look at the following and then ask yourself

, ---- WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Remember the MUSLIM bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
Remember the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993.
Remember the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon.
Remember the MUSLIM bombing of the Military Barracks in Saudi Arabia.
Remember the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa.
Remember the MUSLIM bombings of the USS Cole.
Remember the MUSLIM attack on 9/11/2001.
Remember the MUSLIM shooting attack at a nightclub in Orlando.
Remember the MUSLIM bombing of the Boston Marathon.
Remember the MUSLIM shooting of Jews in Overland Park, Kansas.
Remember the MUSLIM bombing of Oklahoma City.
Remember the MUSLIMS hijacked a plane in Somerset County, PA.
Remember the MUSLIM hijacked a plane into the Pentagon.
Remember the MUSLIM shooting at Columbine High School.
Remember all of the American lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks, and there are many, many more.

This is absolute craziness. Did you know that former President Obama directed the United States Postal Service to REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season
.with a new commemorative first class Holiday Postage Stam? To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those Americans who died at the hands of those
whom this stamp honors. All you have to say is "No thank you, I do not want that MUSLIM stamp on my letters."

You may not like our president, Donald Trump for many reasons, and you also may be very right about your opinions, but you've got to admit that he's making lots and lots of things move in this country, instead of the status quo. Don't forget, half of the people in this country agree with him. Ask yourself, -- what would you do......sit back and wait for the next MUSLIM bombing? My opinion is that he gets on track with a subject but he goes too far. For instance, he wouldn't say "SOME Muslims are very bad people," ----he'd say "ALL Muslims are bad people." But, then the question is still out there: "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?"

A Law for over 65 years.

Someone should let the judge from Washington state know about this. This little gem should go VIRAL! What? --- the McCarran-Walter Act.

Wouldn't it be interesting if, at some point during his Presidential term, Donald Trump asked, "Oh, by the way, has anyone in Washington DC ever heard of the McCarran-Walter Act Of 1952?" It has been a law for almost 65 years.

Here are the historic facts that would seem to indicate that many of the people we elect to work for us in Washington DC do NOT have the slightest idea of what laws already exist in OUR country.

After several terrorist incidents were carried out in the United States, Donald Trump was severely criticized for suggesting that the U.S. should limit or temporarily suspend the immigration of certain ethnic groups, nationalities, and even people of certain religions (Muslims). The criticisms condemned such a suggestion as, among other things, being un-American, dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous and racist. Congressmen and Senators swore that they would never allow such legislation, and President Obama called such a prohibition on immigration "unconstitutional".

As Gomer Pyle would say, "Well, Surprise, Surprise!" It seems that the selective immigration ban is already law and has been applied on several occasions.

Known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the "Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by the President, whenever the President finds that the entry of aliens or any class of aliens into the United states would be detrimental to the interests of the United States. The President may, by proclamation, and for such a period as he shall deem necessary, may suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants or impose any restrictions on the entry of aliens he may deem to be appropriate."

And who do you suppose last utilized this process? Why it was Democrat President Jimmy Carter, no less then 37 years ago, in 1979, to keep Iranians out of the United States.

But he actually did more. He made ALL Iranian students, already in the United States, check in with the government. And then he deported a bunch of them. Seven thousand were found in violation of their visas, and a total of 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the USA in 1979.

So, what say you about all of the criticism that Donald Trump received from the Democrat Senators, Representatives and Obama.

Additionally, it is important to note that the McCarron-Walter Act also requires: that an "applicant for immigration must be of good moral character and in AGREEMENT with the principles of our Constitution."

Therefore, one could surmise that since the Quran forbids Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, technically, ALL Muslims should be refused immigration to OUR country.

All of this information was taken from an authenticated article in the National Library.

Sneaky business redone

What is it with the delegate haters? If Ed Grossman tries to speak he gets boo,d. No matter what he says or does, he gets boo,d.

This time he was reporting to the assembly a situation that he came across and attempted to fix it and he did. The outcome was the savings of considerable monies for each of the unit owners, So the delegates, at least the haters and the uninformed did not want to hear it, so the boos.

So that outcome was stupid. What was happening was that the UCO President had decided who he wanted to supply us with TV, Wifi and maybe telephone services, This was done to the exclusion of all other applicants.

David Israel did not invite any other bids.

That is until Ed Grossman spoke to Comcast. They were not aware that there was bidding going on. So they immediately contacted Israel and were given a chance to bid.

The outcome was that Comcast has now become the favorite bidder. At least that seems to be the case for now,

What I do not understand, why no additional bidders? Why accept Atlantic and nobody else? Who gave Israel the right to decide on who bids and who does not. So, anyway it appears as if the bidding was opened up to include Comcast and now they are the favorite.

We will see how this finally comes down. Who is lying to the Delegates and why?

And here is another stupid thing. My blog is open. I accept anybody's post. Israel's blog is closed. You have to be registered to comment or post. The list of acceptable posters is small. I am not on it. All of the people that have the nerve to object to Israel's doings are banned. So it looks as if I am slandered on Israels private blog and I have no recourse to respond (except on the public blog. My Village Blogger). And I notice that the acceptable posters are limited in number and all in the Israel Camp.

Shameful.

The Passing Parade

by Stew Richland
This was the title of a radio program created by John Nesbitt running from the mid-1930s to 1951.  His program focused on historical events such as, “The Story of Typhoid Mary,” World War II events and the courage of the common man.
As I sit at my computer thinking about the major events that have occurred in the United States in the last 30 or 40 years, I wonder which stories John Nesbitt would have selected to narrate on his show.
The time is about 100 years from now. You and I are long since in our graves.   The scene is a beautiful classroom with our great, great grandchildren sitting looking out the window wishing they were someplace else. The instructor to enter the room.  He faces the class and says does anyone know why this day is special.  The students look up from their reverie and wonder why this day is more special than all the rest.
Well on January 27th 2017 President Donald Trump issued and executive order to review and restrict immigrants attempting to enter the country from seven Middle Eastern nations.  This was the same type of executive order that the previous President, Barak Obama signed but did not execute. This all happened during your great parents day.  The teacher points to the old and ragged out of date history texts that are sitting on the floor in the corner of the classroom. Well, he tells his students, let's examine what happened 100 years ago.
Immediately the backlash began.  The Progressive/liberal/Democratic left-wing supporters began to attack what President Trump did as anti-American, anti-Muslim, and unconstitutional.  Just exactly what did President Trump do?  He issued an order to vet with extreme caution persons coming into the U.S. from nations that export or support terrorism.  What is wrong with this?  He wants to save American lives.  Just remember, the life he may save by this action may be yours.  Compare this action to what former President Obama has done.  He had allowed thousands of refugees to enter this country under the guise of humanitarianism without vetting these immigrants.  Very few or none of the Arab Christian population have been allowed to enter the U.S.  This is blatant discrimination.   Where are the voices of opposition when President Obama released hardened terrorists from the Gitmo holding center in Cuba? We have evidence that these criminals have gone back into the field and their goal is to kill Americans.
Hollywood celebrities are addicted to the spotlight and use every opportunity to voice their views about the Trump administration. Sadly these low-level thinkers have been hooked by the extreme progressive ideas that have inculcated into the daily lives of these so called “knowledgeable experts.”  I listened to the comments that were voiced by some of the leaders of the women’s march the other day.  They sounded deranged. Madonna, a person of high moral principles (HA, HA, HA  - perhaps “Bazinga” as a phrase Sheldon uses on the “Big Bang Theory”  as a gotcha) should spend more time with her family than in front of the mike, said that she felt like “Blowing Up the White House.”  Perhaps we should encourage her to live up to her promise to leave the U.S.  She and Amy Schumer should spend some time in Nigeria and use their persuasive  charms on the Boko Harm killers to return the stolen children.
Where was the outrage voiced by these celebrities when so many American citizens were killed by illegal aliens, many of them who were deported numerous.  The cost of electric power in California is sky high.  A few years ago it was proposed to build a new atomic generating plant, many celebs said yes, but not in my neighborhood.  When there was a strict ban on watering lawns in Beverly Hills, for example, these celebs just kept on watering their lawns and they paid the fines. This is another example of the double standard these people live by.
Perhaps the ugliest example of anti-Trump pandering was exhibited by New York Senator, Chuck Schumer when he stood at the podium, with Muslim children behind him and started to cry when he attacked President Trump’s immigration plan.  I suggest that my readers look at Senator Schumer’s Congressional record to explore what he has accomplished over these many years.  Not much. Where were his tears for the 4 murdered Americans in Benghazi? or Oakland or Newtown?
Look what has happened to Germany, France, and Belgium with their unrestricted immigration policies. Terrorist attacks, immigrants molesting women are just some of the examples of when a government has a policy of unrestricted immigration.  Do you want the same here in the United States?  Trump’s ban is temporary. He was elected to defend the United States against all its enemies, domestic and foreign. If there is any criticism of what the Trump administration has done is that they implemented the immigration in  haste.  Homeland Security should have been informed about the plan so they could exempt those arriving with green cards and other acceptable identification papers. Let the Administration do what they promised because the next casualty could be you or a member of your family.
The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates refused to accept the Presidents policy order temporarily restricting the admission into the United States of aliens from various Muslim-majority countries, as well as aliens from Syria and elsewhere who are claiming refugee status.  The Constitution provides that the President has all executive powers not just some of them.  If a subordinate objects to these policies and refuses to execute the policies, they should resign. There is no other way.  That is why President Trump fired Sally Yates.
Sally Yates was appointed by former President Obama.  She is a Liberal-Progressive and knew that when Jeff Sessions was confirmed as Attorney General she would be replaced. Rather then resign when Trump became President she remained in office.  Her decision not to support the Administration's  immigration policy was based on political considerations only, the way liberal populists would respond. If she objected then she should have quit her job. She chose not to and thus was fired.
As one reporter noted, there are many Federal Judges who may not like the
Supreme Courts ruling on Roe vs. Wade, but there duty is to obey the law.  Yates did not and was rightly fired for her decision.
The teacher in this futuristic scenario points to his desk and says, “This stack of grungy, faded newspapers published a day after this incident all had as its major headline, “Monday Night Massacre.”  This referred to a time when President Nixon was being investigated in relation to the Watergate Scandal.  An independent council was in charge, however, he ordered the Attorney General to fire the independent counsel.  The AG could not do this because of the “independent” nature of his responsibilities.  As a response, Nixon fired his AG.  These two incidents are totally different.  Yet the anti-Trump, liberal press plus the left wing cable stations jumped on the bandwagon and began using the term “Monday Night Massacre.”  This is just insane and irresponsible journalism.  The teacher philosophized that this was one of the “fourth estates lowest hour.”
He referred his students to the time when President Obama declared a “Red Line” is now drawn in the sand, because of the reports that Syria was using poison gas against the rebels. The President was going to take action.  He did nothing.  Neither did the press or Hollywood celebrities.  Where was their outrage at that time?

The teacher looks at the wall clock and sees that the class is almost over. He remarks that history has a tendency to repeat itself and the lessons learned must be used to make the right decisions.  The bell rings, the kids grab for their backpacks, with the phone in hand, just a few with that gleam of understanding about what was just discussed.  As for the rest, he hopes that their parents have not rented the spare bedroom yet.

An interesting but unsettling discussion took place at a UCO committee meeting. The discussion centered on the installation of a screen that the county demands be added to the new air conditioners on the clubhouse roof. Apparently, these screens are to be added to comply with county code requirements. There was some talk that the screens will cost in the vicinity of $100,000.00 though that was not made clear at the meeting. Who's responsibility is it to pay for this?

Is the administration going to hand over another wad of cash to WPRF and claim it's maintenance again? It sure sounded like it.  Though, it's hard to understand how the addition of anything to comply with code requirements could be deemed maintenance.

I think a question needs to be brought up... Why is Ed Grossman, a delegate and NOT an officer or committee member (that I am aware of) calling anyone and trying to negotiate ANYTHING for the village? HE IS NOT AN ELECTED OFFICIAL and therefore has absolutely no authority to call anyone and try to negotiate anything. He should be reprimanded for doing so.
It is the job of the ELECTED officials of the United Civic Organization of Century Village.  The reason for UCO existing is to negotiate the best possible contracts for the village. THAT is the function and purpose of UCO..... Bob Rivera.

In response to this posting :
. Ed Grossman is a delegate. That means he is a member of the Board of Directors for Century Village. That makes him one of David Israel's supervisors. A delegate is in fact an officer. And he is elected to that position by his association. And as President of his association, it is his DUTY to ensure that his constituents are getting a fair shake . Ed isn't trying to negotiate anything. Calling comcast had the effect of bringing them back to the table so THEY could negotiate a better deal. They had been closed out and their initial proposal had been rejected. If no one spoke up then Century Village would be voting on The Atlantic Broadband proposal at the March Delegates assembly.
Does anyone think that a resident needs to seek authority from anyone to make a phone call. It's a free country, anyone is free to call anyone they like, and as for reprimands, Who is going to dish out the reprimand? who has that authority? If any reprimands are to be dished out, David Israel should be reprimanded for continuing to pursue his dream of WIFI when the assembly said NO! Further to this he should be reprimanded for signing a huge contract with CSI without getting authority from the delegates ( Ed Grossman included ) and for not seeking competitive bids for the service.

I have to agree that it is the job of UCO to negotiate the best contracts on behalf of the residents, but  when they continue to pursue an initiative that the Delegates already voted down, and when any officer of UCO steps out of the bounds of their authority to the tune of almost half a million dollars, and by doing so  neglect their fiduciary duties,  then it is prudent for any director to take action
