The following line you read will contain the two most explicit vulgar words you have ever heard.

The words are:          MANAGEMENT COMPANY    -    I mentioned these words at the UCO Officer’s meeting, and I thought David was going to have a coronary.   He started ranting about how much it was going to cost and how incompetent they are and how we would have to scrutinize everything they did.  -   Meanwhile, I was thinking about how inefficient UCO is. How, under the administrative power of UCO, we had a chance to buy the clubhouse and didn’t because we thought it was more prudent to pay one million dollars in rent each year. How we had a chance to buy the golf course and didn’t; how we strangled ourselves with a millennium agreement which favors WPRF instead of the residents. How we managed to spend five million dollars on a paving project that was not worth the one-page contract it was written on.

You may blame the delegates for some of these decisions, but smart leadership can influence the delegates into making wise choices.

UCO had the opportunity in the past to make sound recommendations for the residents, but they proved wholly inadequate in this department.  If we had proper leadership, we may not be paying one million dollars a year to rent our clubhouse.  Each resident could be saving about sixty dollars a month in dues. If we had good leadership, we might own the Golf Course today.

Maybe it’s about time we get a management Company instead of Volunteer Officers who know nothing about running a multi-million dollar organization. I believe we can do it on the cheap. We can pay for solid professional leadership to run the show but continue to use resident volunteers to assist in the everyday mundane work.

What do you think? Do you think it’s time to dump UCO for a management Company?

Olga is Back

OLGA IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!

After a peaceful week on the beaches of Puerto Rico, I have returned to keep you up to date on the shenanigans of David Israel and the Reflection Bay Wannabe.

David Israel was quick to post on HIS BLOG an erroneous leaflet stating that the fight against development of the golf course was lost. Ladies and gentlemen, this is NOT TRUE. The case is NOT LOST the suit will continue. The judge merely asked the Plaintiffs Attorney to amend the development order which the  Attorney is already preparing for filing within the next 20 days. This was only a mild setback. The case to keep the golf course in perpetuity is NOT DEAD. It will continue as long as the residents support their desire to keep it alive.

Jean Dowling, Jim Reed and his daughter were the culprits that handed out these erroneous leaflets stating that the lawsuit was dead. The leaflets were distributed at the entrance to DUCK ISLAND on the day the Proactive Residents Projects Committee Inc. (PRPC) held their BBQ. (Handing out leaflet on WPRF property is a violation. I wonder why no one chased them away. )

Oh Yes, let us not forget David Israel and his wishy-washy stand on the development of the golf course. One day he’s for development; the next day against it. He just couldn’t wait to post the lie about the demise of the golf course without first checking the facts.

My sincere belief is: IF THE RESIDENTS OF CENTURY VILLAGE WANT TO KEEP THE GOLF COURSE IN PERPETUITY, AS PROMISED, IN THE ORIGINAL DEED, THEY SHOULD CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE PROACTIVE RESIDENTS PROJECTS COMMITTEE. THEY SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE SUBJECTED TO THE MISLEADING AND INACCURATE INFORMATION BY THE FRIENDS OF THE DEVELOPERS.

TRUE OR FALSE?

DAVID ISRAEL IS THE NEW OWNER OF THE DELEGATE ASSEMBLY MEETING.

At the delegate assembly meeting of 5/3/2013 in order to inform the residents of a new website, I placed the following notices on the table before entering the theatre:

                                      MY VILLAGE BLOGGER

There is a new blog for the residents of Century Village.

Check it out.

Get the real facts and feel free to voice your opinion.

      myvillageblogger.blogspot.com/

David Israel passed by the table, grabbed the notices and screamed, WHO PUT THESE HERE?

I replied, “I did,” and we exchanged harsh words.

I called Eva Rachesky, Vice President of WPRF to get the rules on placing notices on the table.

When she arrived, she told me that  David Israel owned the delegate meeting, and we have to get HIS permission to place notices.

I told Eva that David Israel did NOT OWN the meeting. It is a delegate meeting, and I am a delegate. Think about that!

Eva did not say a word as we parted company.

Do you think David Israel OWNS the delegate meeting?
