Scary Dee Eye (David Isreal)

MORE SCARE TACTICS BY DAVID ISRAEL
From the pages of the UCO Reporter

At an Executive Board meeting where David Israel presided,  he was asked the following question:

Does UCO have a legal opinion on opting out (of Wi-Fi)?  Rather than answer the question, he admitted to being nonplussed (bewildered) by the question.  As a result,  he never answered the question;  he just skirted over the issue by saying that the unit owners must work together for the betterment of the village.  He then goes on to ask what is it that this small group of “antis” want to opt out of.

Well David,   I WILL answer that question for you. We want to opt out of your expensive and underfunded plan to Wi-Fi Century Village  at this time.  The reason being, we do not have the money to offer Wi-Fi because you so blatantly wasted all our reserve money on your horrific paving job.  Furthermore,  you were negligent in never telling the residents that if they wanted Wi-Fi,  their Associations could Wi-Fi their buildings for a few hundred dollars now  and in the future, if our budget was sound and the majority of residents wanted Wi-Fi; they could Wi-Fi the village  at a later date.
Instead,  you pushed your plan down our throats and expected all of us to sit back and allow you to bankrupt us.

Sorry Dave, it ain’t gonna happen. You then went on to accuse our group of (Antis) of moving on to dump Cable, security, ambulance, etc.  What fantasy land are you living in Dave?  You make these ridiculous accusations to confuse and scare the residents by  giving them the impression that we are out to destroy the village. Not only are we not out to destroy the village, we are out to save the village from your gloom and doom  destruction.

You go on to say, if we are in opposition to the way things are being done we should present ideas not disruptive chaos.  Well David, I ask you, how we can present any of our ideas when you will not allow any one of us or anyone who opposes you to be part of any committee. You challenged us to step onto the field to play. We challenge you to allow us to step onto that field and  allow us  on committees,  allow us access to print our views in the UCO Reporter and allow us to distribute our material in the clubhouse.

In answer to the question: Does UCO have a legal opinion on opting out?  I will answer the question you were afraid to.   The legal opinion is written in the UCO Bilateral agreement.  We have the right to opt out because Wi-Fi was NOT INCLUDED in this agreement. This means "YES", Associations CAN opt out.
