Major theft!

CRIME WAVE IN THE VILLAGE

The recent disappearance of some high tech equipment from Century Village has Security on high alert and police looking for suspects.

Five valuable rumble strips mysteriously disappeared from the roadway sometime around the end of February.

An official from the administration who declined to be identified as he is not authorized to speak said : ” This was a well planned and executed theft of some very valuable equipment, the perpetrators obviously came prepared as the strips were fastened securely to the roadway and were not easily removed”.

A witness came forward who said that she saw a suspicious person loitering in the area of the crime scene. The suspect was described as a short overweight woman with blue hair ,wearing hot pink spandex pants , carrying a large purse studded with rhinestones and sporting a sparkly pair of bingo style earrings.

Concerned residents gathered at the crime scene and expressed their fear that the crime was carried out by a well known gang of malcontents who are responsible for creating chaos in the village. “We were warned about these guys by the president, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened” said one worried woman .

A statement by local police indicated that twelve people matching the description of the suspect were questioned and released .

The investigation continues.

  2. It’s a good thing I donated my Hot Pink Spandex Pants to Goodwill two weeks ago or the fuzz would be knocking down my door as being their prime suspect.
Seriously folks, the strips were an accident waiting to happen, and it appears the perpetrator had the common sense to see that and remove them. If only the powers that be at UCO had the same common sense before making the decision to install them, we would not be wasting our energy on these mundane situations. We would be dealing with more serious issues.
This is why; we must get rid of these low-level thinking individuals at UCO who falsely believe they have our best interest s at heart.

  4. The Fire Department has very sensitive equipment in their ambulances. They HATE rumble strips in the worst way. The strips make them slow way down because they may be transporting a patient and their equipment may damage by bouncing around, or the patient may get worse. No harm in checking it out, is there?
