AHHH, JUST SMELL THAT FRESH AIR!

There is a fresh air wafting thru the air of the Village. People have begun to hear what is being said. They are beginning to understand the drawbacks to another Dave regime. They are thinking for themselves. Dave ran a well run meeting today, finally, even as the theater filled up with a record number of delegates. The stakes were high. Do we pass the budget as presented or reject it? Do we make a to do about having no audit sheet for 18 months until it finally showed up at some dpeople's email addresses, but not at the majority? Do we stop the witch hunt against Dorothy and tell the McCarthyites and the judges of Salem to go home.
Well, the resounding answer was to reject the budget, nix the wifi until we get more information and I daresay that it will be knocked out of the new budget until the officers who do not listen to their constituents put it in again. The new bylaw which was really poised to give Dorothy a hassle was heavily refused and did not pass by a large margin. Dave's attempts to say that all information was present and accounted for, the ninnies attempts to drag Dorothy down - all were resoundingly rejected. And yet, no sooner than that happened, then a petition allegedly signed by 100 people against Dorothy was handed in. Hmmmm...allegedly 100 people against an entire Village that owes her a great deal. Enough! Will all Dorothy haters please get a life!

YES!!!! There is life after Dave. There is life with a different president. Yes, there are people willing to stand up and be counted. Vote for Esther and we will continue to sweep thru the Village and do right by its residents. The only thing I would love to see changed is the behavior of too many delegates who walk out of the meeting way before it is over. They are delegates with a responsibility to vote for their building residents. What will happen if you go home on a later bus? Will the baby be crying? So you will eat a bit later. Stay and participate. Fulfill your responsibilities and participate in a democratic government. You are needed, whatever your opinion. And we must work on a different system of counting the votes because my tally on one of the votes did not match what was announced and while this time it was okay, at another time it might greatly matter. Any ideas out there, anyone.
