We have already approved the 15 year Road life. This netted us, the CV unit owners, an increase in UCO fees of an additional $10 per unit per month. This added expense is to be added to the existing UCO fee leaving us with a monthly fee of about $24 per month.
I'll say it again. This new change will increase the UCO fee by another $10 a month per unit. So the fee will go up to about $24.
So we have been talking about this ad-infinitum and all we got back is a lot of back mouthing from the anti-malcontents. Now that we have proved correct what are we going to do about it?
So the plan is that we will have to repair or replace the roads that were just repaired and replaced in another 8 years at a cost of another $10 a month for a total of $20 per month per unit.
This does not include the possible expense increase due to The Broad Band initiative that we turned down, but is still very much alive.
The New fee will be seen at the Delegate Assembly in August, and will pass unless the sleepy and lethargic Delegates say No, and then the Administration may shove it through anyway.
So apparently UCO is running financially smooth. We have $3.3 Million in the bank, $1.8 million in reserves and $84,000 in positive cash flow. BUT...
We have to raise another $1 Million for the roads, although we turned down WIFI/BROADBAND and our good and far seeing president is pushing Broadband. $More Millions to be yet ascertained. Water, infrastructure, security.
So what are we to do?...
What can we do?...
Are just going to sit there and worry?...
Dear Lord in Heaven. that is a huge jump and there will be many who cannot pay and even if they can, it will mean a lot of penny pinching elsewhere in their personal budgets.

ReplyDeleteGrace you are repeating yourself. Think about this the choice is for the Delegates to approve and D. Israel to lead. If he leads us down the wrong road, without much info that is were we will go. Sad but true.
DeleteDear Gracie, You Dummy . The delegates never voted to approve the roads. They only approved to FUND them. Your lover David Israel signed the one page contract for the project. Without the delegates knowledge. The delegates were threatened to approve the money or it would cost one million dollars more if they did not. This was BS from Ed Black. DeleteDear Ms. Wolkenstein, As I have posted several times before, I am snowbird resident of only four years, so obviously, I only know what I read on this site and OUR VILLAGE BLOGGER about what transpired during the decision to pave the roads. I try to read each blog and discern the truth by reading both sides. I tend to believe that this blog is generally more up-front. However, that is tempered by the incredibly awful name calling. You do your cause no favors with posts like the one to Grace. For the record, I have met Grace several times and know her only well enough to say hello.

David Israel ALONE signed a 2.3 million ONE PAGE CONTRACT to pave the roads. If you care enough to discover the truth, please contact me when you come back and I will show you written proof.
I have not questioned the truth of what you have published. In fact, I continue to monitor this blog because of the information you have revealed. My comment was a criticism of the non-professional, intact, juvenile language that is a part of many of your posts.

Unfortunately, sometimes a person like Grace tries to block our path to real reporting and it becomes necessary to put her in her place. We live in a new world today where words which may have been considered profane yesterday are now commonplace. Maybe you can relax a bit and take a step up to the new world.
