DO YOU HEAR THE RUMBLINGS?

        We made it big time. Dave hates the idea of the Messenger Club. Why? It is a discussion group like many others already in the Village, but it aims to concentrate on the Village rather than on all the woes and ills of the world. The former we can help with; the latter - who knows who can help there!

So why is this club hated? Why does Dave put up huge capital  letter warnings on his blog calling it a bash club. HE is the only one to use that term. He is the only one calling for disruptions. I wonder if that is legal, to go tell people to take camera, to walk out , to interfere. And by the way, pictures that might be published have to have permission from the pictured.
         
The aim of this club, which has met all the requirements of UCO, is to encourage discussion in a threat free environment, to hear about our Village and how we might improve it, to hear from guest speakers, to inspire a civilized discourse amongst intelligent and courteous people. Some of the most intelligent people I have met in the Village will be at the club. I have even seen some of them at other meetings in the Village and they seem to raise hands and get recognized in the proper manner so I am not sure why they are always being called names. Please explain, Dave.
         
Dave tells you this club is not approved. Why does he say that? Is it to frighten you off from attending? Why would that be? Think about that. You will not turn into a pumpkin should you decide to attend and partake of the discussion and enlightenment. That is a promise. Please come, have some intelligent discussion and hear some intelligent talk in a fear and threat free environment. Meet some nice people. What could be bad about that on a Thursday morning?
          
When one tries to shut down possibly opposing opinions and their supporters, when one tries to muzzle free speech and intellectual freedom, a danger line is approaching. What is next? A burning of any circulars that might be handed out in the Village? Persecution of those that Dave does not like? Oops, that is already here. Just ask Dorothy and Phyllis whose names he is now constantly bringing up because they dare to cross him and these are two pro Village people such as is rarely found.

     Please join us for intelligent discourse. Speak up for yourself. Ask questions without fear. Come smile, laugh, talk and moan and there will be light!
