WHAT IS DAVID ISRAEL REALLY
MADE OF?
Is it sticks and stones……………………………………or is it mortal flesh?
You decide, here are the facts:
At the last two advisory meetings when Marcia Zicardy, Marilyn
Pomerantz and Olga Wolkenstein were on
the committee, David did not record the meetings as was customary. He used the
lame excuse that the meetings could not be recorded because the tape was not
working. Is it possible that David did
not want the residents to see how well the committee worked when it was comprised of individuals who contributed diverse ideas?
Let’s see how well the committee runs with only one voice making important changes in the bylaws.

Thanks to Ed Ross for this.
With all of this hate, hate and more hate that you read about, see
on TV and hear from your friends and neighbors, maybe it's time
for a break, --- a funny to anyone with a sense of humor:
WE MET AT THE BAR
Having already downed a few power drinks, she turns around,
faces him, looks him straight in the eye and says, "Listen
here, good looking. I will screw anybody, anytime, any-
where, their place, my place, in the car, front door, back
door, on the ground, standing up, sitting down, naked or
with clothes on....it doesn't matter to me. I just love it."
His eyes now wide with interest, he responds, "NO
KIDDING.....I'M IN GOVERNMENT TOO. ARE YOU
FEDERAL OR STATE?"
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE READ AND ACT
Congressman Brian Mast is holding Satellite Office Hours at the Okeechobee Library on March 29th. A staffer will be there from 1:30-3:30pm to discuss federal agency issues with any of Congressman Mast’s constituents.
Town Hall on April 1 at the Clubhouse room C at 11. Go and ask the Congressman questions. Bring these questions to the ticket office and put them in a box for the emcee to gather. But ask away. Why is he supporting the repeal of our healthcare? What is he thinking of this wall and its financing? Where does he stand on the Russian connection. What about women's rights and LGBTQ? There are so many things he can be asked, so do so!
March on April 1. Come to the Clubhouse and march, after a light breakfast in the party room, with the Alzheimer's group and the Democratic Club and all people who care what is going on. There will be an open mic after the march. If we do not stand up and speak up, there will be no funds for medical research, for cures, for the arts, for anything - so be there. Then go to the Town Hall. Just down the hall. If you cannot do the march for health reasons, then go to the Town Hall for questions.
Action Alert!!
Eric Schneiderman, NY Attorney General is accepting calls to investigate Trump's violations of the emoluments clause and EAGERLY tallying up public support. He doesn't care whether it comes from residents of New York. THIS IS BIG. Staffer recommended we call AND email.
Phone: 212-416-6218
Email address: nyag.consumerbureau@ag.ny.gov
There are many things that can be done. What to do is not hard. Just do it. Channel the past if you have to. Picket and protest. Sing We Shall Overcome. Whatever - even go and buy a pair of Birkenstocks! I just did for other reasons but what the hey!! Get your beads and your grandchildren. Get your courage and your energy and let us have done with this mess. Have an answer for your grandchildren as to WHAT you did during this most unAmerican time. What? Get out there and speak up. Show we are unaccepting of this mess. show up for the Town Hall. Demand those answers.
I leave you with the words of Hillary Clinton at the Professional Businesswomen meeting in California. "Resist, insist, persist, enlist."

IT’S OFFICIAL FOLKS!
David Israel
“Discharged” the Chair of the Advisory committee simply because she asked
little ole me to join her committee. Want proof? She installed David’s, not too
favorite, Marilyn Pomerantz and Marcia Ziccardy, who have been members for
quite some time, but when she asked me who was only a guest to join, this was
the bomb that went off in David’s head. He immediately went into a frenzy and
abruptly made the decision to remove the Chair – too bad; she was brilliant, fair,
and honest to the core.
I am now
proud to say; I am David Israel’s Number one enemy. I will wear the badge with
honor. However, I would like you all to
know that this honor may put me in danger. Many of you know that David, and I
do not share a love of each other. Two to three years back, one of his
supporters left a threatening note on my door.
This prompted me to get a license to carry a weapon. I held on to that license
for more than a year before I decided to purchase a weapon - Personally I don’t like guns, but I decided
that whoever the nut case was that made the threat may one day make an attempt
to carry it out. I am now in possession
of a weapon which I have been using to practice at the gun range. I have to admit; the thought of having to use
it to defend myself sends chills down my spine. I have no idea how I would
react in such a situation, but I hope that if the time came, I will hopefully
have the courage to use it to protect myself.
Thank you
Florida and the U.S. Constitution for giving me the right to protect myself
against one of David Israel’s crazies.
LOVE THIS
COUNTRY!!!!!!

My way or the highway.
Why would David Israel dismiss a competent and motivated volunteer who sacrificed her time and bestowed her considerable talent in volunteering to chair the advisory committee?
Insiders at UCO, dismayed at this latest action, report that Israel is extremely unhappy that the chairperson appointed two ladies to the committee that he doesn’t like. They also report that his dislike stems from his intolerance for any opposition or question, and he is angered when he doesn’t get his way.
When Israel demanded that the chairperson of the advisory committee dismiss the two ladies he wanted off the committee, the chairperson refused. Israel then sent the chairperson a letter of dismissal and sent letters of dismissal to the two ladies in question. He has the authority to dismiss the chairperson, but the appointees are not under his authority.
It certainly is not in the best interests of CV residents that Israel can use his position to get what he wants. The way it works under our bylaws is that the President appoints the chair of committees, the chair then proceeds to appoint the rest of the committee. It works that way to prevent any one person from using their authority to control everything.
Israel’s action in dismissing the chair is a twisted subversion of the processes put in place to assure residents are getting good representation.
There’s no doubt that an appointment will be forthcoming in the near future, and no doubt the appointment will be someone who will comply with Israel’s demands whether they are practical or not.
Committees are in place to represent the wishes of the residents, not to satisfy the personal whims of the President.
This conduct is the reason it is difficult to find willing volunteers to serve on the UCO committees. VP. Fausto Fabro lamented this situation at the last delegate’s assembly. He complained that despite his efforts to entice residents to visit the UCO offices with the purpose of becoming acquainted with the organization in the hopes that more volunteers would take part. He was dismayed that not one resident showed up and no resident expressed interest. In light of the way volunteers are being treated by the President, its little wonder.
The option of recalling the President then installing a new one is not really a viable option due to the way the committees are populated with Israel’s supporters, who are more than willing to turn their backs on the principles of fair play in order to maintain their positions in the administration.
Delegates who either don’t see the big picture, or simply don’t want to see it are responsible for electing Israel to the position of President. Those delegates who voted for him should take a critical view of his actions in subverting the by-laws and manipulating the system.
It’s not just the dismissal of the ladies from the advisory committee that is objectionable. There are many other issues that are, or should be a concern to CV residents :
. The recent disposition of eight hundred thousand dollars to WPRF in the replacement of the air conditioning units in the clubhouse.( the question of whether it is a capital improvement, and therefore the responsibility of the owners or a regular maintenance job and billed to UCO, could be settled under the dispute resolution procedure enshrined in the lease agreement. David Israel has refused to implement the procedure, opting to pay the money to WPRF without questioning or seeking resolution through arbitration.)
. The awarding, in secret, of a huge contract to CSI without delegates approval.
. The hiring of a resident to act as a Community Association Manager, then appointing him to the position of head of the investigations department, contrary to the by-laws and long held policies of UCO. ( The head of investigations has traditionally been held by a volunteer, by appointing the CAM. To act as the head , residents are in effect paying for the job.)
. The continued pursuit of village wide WIFI contrary to the stated wishes of the residents
. The recently expressed wish to terminate the bid committee, leaving residents open to questionable expenditures.
. The practice of censorship and the domination of the village media.
. The termination of the village ombudsman.
. The comingling of funds.( traditionally funds were placed in designated accounts. Co-mingling the funds makes it difficult to determine where it’s is going)
. The unauthorized expenditure of over two million dollars in the re-paving contract.
. The abolition of term limits.(The premise that term limits prevents competent residents from serving is patently false. UCO is a volunteer based organization. Anyone can serve if they really want to whether they are elected or not)
. The proposal to change the bylaw regarding petitions by residents to amend the bylaws. (currently 35 delegate signatures are required on a petition, the proposed change would raise that number to 117.)
A larger, more troubling situation is that David Israel agreed at a delegates assembly to allow a resident CPA (Ed Grossman) to conduct a forensic audit of the financial records of UCO. He avoided a motion on the issue by agreeing to allow access to the records. Subsequently he denied access when Ed arrived at the office to conduct the audit accompanied by George Lowenstein, former President and Treasurer of UCO and Dorothy Tetro who also served as Treasurer. Not permitting them to inspect the books as agreed at the assembly leaves residents wonder what they are hiding.
Israel’s excuse for not permitting the audit is that audits should be conducted by unbiased auditors. That doesn’t make a lot of sense when one considers that numbers don’t lie, regardless of any bias of the auditors.
The removal of the chair of the advisory committee simply because she wouldn’t comply with Israel’s unreasonable demands should not be tolerated.
The committee is currently engaged in an initiative to re-write the UCO by-laws. Those by-laws impose regulations that the administration must comply with, they are enacted to protect the interests of the village residents. Are we to expect that unless those by-laws are written in a way that Israel favors, more committee members will be forced to “hit the highway because they don't want to do things Israel's way?”
It’s easy to see that Israel’s conduct will continue unless some action is taken by the residents to curtail it. He hasn’t shown any inclination to modify his behavior on his own. A recall is possible if enough residents see the light and join the growing dissatisfaction.
Perhaps a by-law outlining a procedure for appointing committee members and removing objectionable people should be enacted. It doesn’t seem fair that one person has all the authority over who gets to take part and who doesn’t. One person dominating the administration doesn’t follow the democratic principles we expect.

Recall, Recall, Recall.
Look here, do you think that this last action by our President, UCO not the USA, was beyond the Pale? Do you think that this last action was over the line? Do you think his firing of the Chairwomen and 3 members of her Committee was the correct thing to do?
It seems to me that this action was only done because Israel thinks that whatever he wants, he gets. There is no real opposition to his actions. And he is right!
So what are we going to do about it? Are we going let him get away with this? This Chairwoman was doing her job and doing it well. Then Israel lets his personal desires get in the way.
I think it time to do something about this. I think it time to replace him, I think it is time for a recall!!
It should be obvious to any thinking delegate that something is wrong here. So far Israel has let the cost of the new Clubhouse AC system go to our account without a fight. This is only one of many things that seem to be wrong with his lack of objection that cost the Village money. The Village, dear reader, is you!
This guy needs to be recalled and recalled now. Don't tell me that you think that "he has his faults but overall he is doing a good job." Baloney. There are plenty of people waiting in the wings that could do as well or even better.
Let's recall him.

A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT HAS
BEEN SET IN CENTURY VILLAGE.
The elected
president of UCO David Israel used prejudice and emotions to remove the Chair
and three members of the advisory committee without justification. When a
superior administrator acts emotionally to make irrational decisions, it
becomes clear that he has become unhinged and psychologically unfit. It serves to give us notice that he has become
a danger to others as well as himself. When
the president of UCO uses these tactics to make rash decisions that do not
serve to benefit the residents it becomes clear that he is no longer able to
serve in an administrative capacity. He
allowed his hated for three people that the Chair installed to fly into a rage
and erupt like a fuming volcano. The three individuals he removed were assets to
the advisory committee. But the Chair, who
HE chose was smart, unbiased and operated the committee like a fine tune clock
was also removed, which made no sense. His action is expected to have detrimental consequences
to the bylaw changes the committee was working on.
Before the Advisory Chair installed his three
antagonists she installed three individuals who he recommended in the last election. One for Vice President, two
for executive board and one who is an officer of UCO; these individuals were
not removed. This clearly proves that
his actions were based solely on his biased hatred for these innocent victims. But, why remove the chair who was doing such
a great job? – it makes no sense.
When the
president of UCO acts in an irrational frenzy, it is a clear sign of mental
deterioration. It has been suggested by a higher authority that he resigns in
order to safeguard himself and the future of the village.

"Yesterday, at the hospital, we had a meeting about how the situation here and at the other Munich hospitals is unsustainable. Clinics cannot handle the number of migrant medical emergencies, so they are starting to send everything to the main hospitals.
Many Muslims are refusing treatment by female staff, and we women are now refusing to go among those migrants!
Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse. Since last weekend, migrants going to the hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.
Relations between the staff and migrants are going from bad to worse. Since last weekend, migrants going to the hospitals must be accompanied by police with K-9 units.
Many migrants have AIDS, syphilis, open TB and many exotic diseases that we in Europe do not know how to treat.
If they receive a prescription to the pharmacy, they suddenly learn they have to pay cash. This leads to unbelievable outbursts, especially when it is about drugs for the children. They abandon the children with pharmacy staff with the words: So, cure them here yourselves!
So the police are not just guarding the clinics and hospitals, but also the large pharmacies.
We ask openly where are all those who welcomed the migrants in front of TV cameras with signs at train stations? Yes, for now, the border has been closed, but a million of them are already here and we will definitely not be able to get rid of them.
Until now, the number of unemployed in Germany was 2.2 million. Now it will be at least 3.5 million. Most of these people are completely unemployable. Only a small minimum of them have any education. What is more, their women, who are far outnumbered by the men, usually do not work at all. I estimate that one in ten is pregnant. Hundreds of thousands of them have brought along infants and little kids under six, many emaciated and very needy. If this continues and Germany re-opens its borders, I am going home to the Czech Republic. Nobody can keep me here in this situation, not even for double the salary back home. I came to Germany to work, not to Africa or the Middle East!
Even the professor who heads our department told us how sad it makes him to see the cleaning woman, who has cleaned every day for years for 800 euros and then meets crowds of young men in the hallways who just wait with their hands outstretched, wanting everything for free, and when they don't get it they throw a fit.
I really don't need this! But I am afraid that if I return home, at some point it will be the same in the Czech Republic. If the Germans, with their systems, cannot handle this, then, guaranteed, back home will be total chaos.....
You who have not come in contact with these people have absolutely no idea what kind of badly behaved desperados these people are, and how Muslims act superior to our staff, regarding their religious accommodations.
For now, the local hospital staff has not come down with the diseases these people brought here, but with so many hundreds of patients every day, this is just a question of time.
In a hospital near the Rhine, migrants attacked the staff with knives after they had handed over an 8-month-old on the brink of death, who they'd dragged across half of Europe for three months. The child died two days later, despite having received top care at one of the best pediatric clinics in Germany. The pediatric physician had to undergo surgery and the two nurses are recovering in the ICU. Nobody has been punished.
The local press is forbidden to write about it, so we can only inform you through email. What would have happened to a German if he had stabbed the doctor and nurses with a knife? Or if he had flung his own syphilis-infected urine into a nurse's face and so threatened her with infection? At a minimum he would have gone straight to jail and later to court. With these people so far, nothing has happened,
And so I ask: Where are all those greeters and receivers from the train stations? Sitting pretty at home, enjoying their uncomplicated, safe lives. If it were up to me, I would round up all those greeters and bring them here first to our hospital's emergency ward as attendants! Then into one of the buildings housing the migrants, so they can really look after them there themselves, without armed police and police dogs, who, sadly today, are in every hospital here in Bavaria."
Is this "situation" coming to your country?
WOW!!!!
I feel privileged
to have received an official certified letter from David Israel informing me
that I was dismissed from the Advisory committee. Marilyn has also received one
as will Marcia when she receives her mail. Unfortunately for the Chair of the committee, she
received her dismissal via lonely email.
Are members of the advisory committee more important than the Chair? - Something
to ponder.
Another
piece of news: Besides allowing Marilyn,
Marcia and Olga on her on her committee, the Chair also installed George
Pittell, David Boas, and John Hess - the
first two David endorsed for executive board, and John Hess is a UCO officer
and a supporter of David. Does anyone smell a dirty trick? I do. It obviously
appears that anyone who opposes David is “TOAST," and anyone who sides with him, gets the full
plate of ham and eggs. Is this any way
to run a village? Is David so afraid
that any opposition will bring changes to the Bylaws that will benefit the residents?
I do believe that’s true and I have some
wonderful ideas that will do just that.
Stay tuned Folks!!!

GUESS WHO IS NOT COMING TO DINNER.
The dinner I am about to discuss is the feast I was enjoying as a member of the advisory committee. One day, I attended as a guest and without warning, I was asked, by the chair to join. I graciously accepted, sat at the table and began to listen, learn and contribute. At the end of the meeting, I was impressed by the decorum of the members and of the chair who commandeered with dignity and intelligence. Under the tutelage of this wonderful, bipartisan Lady, the committee ran as smooth as silk assembled by members of both friends and foes of David Israel. However, yesterday, I attended a luncheon and heard a rumor that this gracious lady was removed from the committee by David Israel. I was shocked. The obvious thought occurred to me was that she was the victim of David’s wrath for putting his prime antagonist on her committee. Two so-called malcontents were on the committee for a while, yet, the thought of having his number-one malcontent Olga Wolkenstein on such an important committee as the advisory must have taken him over the edge, and he exploded into a rage – this was the only logic I could apply to the rumor.
For the past two years, the committee has been working diligently to change our bylaws. Suddenly and without warning, David Israel decides to fire the chair who is a bright unbiased woman who understands the value of ideas being contributed by a bipartisan committee. This, I felt was the way all UCO committees should be run. The chair being fired without justification will be a great loss to the residents. The bylaws were on their way to being revised with clarity and fairness. It is with great sadness that I have come to conclude that as a result of David Israel removing the chair, as rumored, the new bylaws will protect David Israel and fail to protect the residents.
The next advisory meeting is on April 11, 2017, at 9:00 am at the UCO office.
Please feel free to attend.
AN OPEN LETTER TO DAVID ISRAEL:
Is it true or not…?
Has the Advisory Chair been officially removed? I emailed her, but she has not replied so I am asking you.
The last few members have been women who have written things that you have not appreciated. Your own cabinet members have said you consider us “Malcontents” who embarrass and libel you. Yet, I ask, isn’t that what you’ve done now to a highly respected and well-liked chair?
Pray tell David, if the rumor is true, why did you let the successful chair of a committee go, and why just her?

INVASION OF PRIVACY
Security
guards are periodically coming to the pools to check your id. This rule has
become a nuisance to many residents. It is my understanding that this rule was
initiated because there were cases of
minor disturbances with visitors using the pools that did not live within the
village. Is this a serious problem or is
it just another nuisance rule created by WPRF? Do we really care if a resident
has a visitor, and they decide to use the pool for a day without getting a pass? Will this force us into chapter 11? Must we have Gestapo like guards coming around
every two hours invading our privacy? I
don’t think so. If it ain’t broke folks, there is no need to fix it. When there is not a disturbance at the pool,
there is no need for a guard to check your id. As long as the pools are open and accessible WPRF
does not have the right to invade your privacy.
UNLESS THERE IS A DISTURBANCE,
security guards do not have the right to request your ID at the pool.

AB vrs Comcast
This post is in reply to Bob Rivera's remarks.
What would you expect when you are complaining about the Comcast complainers. There is no else here. Comcast is the only provider we have and if something goes wrong or is not right, then we complain.
What would you expect when you look at AB and see that they are still in Miami somewhere and still have to start trenching. It somewhat dangerous to sign a contract, a 10-year contract before they are here and ready to go.
I have Comcast, of course. I have Comcast's DVR, it is always 90% full, no problem. I have all the channels Comcast provides with my plan. So what? I only watch maybe a dozen of them. I have 2 movie channels, I only watch one of them, HBO, so what?
What could I possibly do with 300 channels, 1/2 of them Spanish? (and still in Miami)
As far as complaining is concerned, I will still reserve the right to complain no matter what.

THANKS TO ALL OUR FAITHFUL
SUPPORTERS
I wish to
thank all our supporters who voted for the team people felt were best to serve the
interests of our community at large.
Unfortunately,
David Israel who has the upper hand because he controls the media has succeeded
in getting all his people elected. Although
we did manage to succeed in getting six members elected to the executive board,
this did not give us the control, needed to keep Mr. Israel from making
decisions NOT in the best interest of our community.
We will continue to have a voice – small, yet
a voice for justice. In closing, I would like to remind the residents again that it was Edward Grossman, who brought Comcast to the table. Thank you Ed. If it were not for you, we would have been forced to accept Atlantic Broadband as our one and only broadband provider.

Disruption, Confusion and Chaos and Yelling and Insults....
It's election time again. Israel is pushing hard for his people. There are no other entries. He uses those words again, Disruptors, confusion and chaos, This man sees this in every contact with the opposition, In other words, if you are not for him and his programs or refuse to stay silent. You are a Disruptor.
This is what happens when the President of UCO feels he cannot be stopped.
Now he wants you to vote for the people that will follow his lead, quietly, unthinkingly and so his list of recommended people.
Don't do it! Vote you heart and Vote for Olga and Ed Grossman.
If you want someone who has other ideas and presents them to the Delegates and is not frightened by the nastiness coming from the podium, and I do, then Vote for Ed Grossman and Olga.
