Broadband again!

So the Delegate Assembly voted on the wifi proposal as presented by that great Wizard David Israel. And the Delegate Assembly voted it down overwhelmingly.

So what is happening that they have it up again. The following is some of their meeting minutes.

What I don't understand is what gives them the right to sneak in another WiFi program, a expensive WiFi program under another name. The Delegates said NO, and that should stick.

But it don't! He wants WiFi before he leaves and he will apparently try any thing to get it.

A rose by any other name is still a rose. The wars with Israel just go on and on.

"Edited Minutes of the Broadband committee

The goal is to combine cable, video, voice, data-processing and an income-producing website. Are we going into business?
Leo Delgado and Bill Adams of CSI were here to help us research this project.

There is a proposal from Obama to regulate internet. There is a lot of opposition so we have to watch that. This is to regulate the charging of the use of the internet. This will probably not affect us but we will watching it. Watch the Delegates

An option for the RFP is that if we see that WPB is going to offer free powerful Wi-Fi to the area then we should be able to get out of the contract that we have. You think, breaking a contact with Comcast is easy?

We need to look at the buyout of the current Com cast contract. There are ways of getting this covered.

There will be give and take in the negotiations.

One of the options to consider is two community channels. One for news and one for entertainment.

CSI will provide the legal services also.

We need to look at the yearly increases and the simplicity of the remote.

The vision is to expand the safety and communications of the village. The idea at this time is to integrate all the systems so that it will be monitored by one platform instead of using multiple.

There will be a second meeting set-up where a full presentation will be given by CSI.

Some of the things that need to be a high definition box with extended capabilities.

We also have to consider including consideration for the associations that already have contracts with Comcast for hotspots. We will include in the negotiations that these will be part of the negotiations so that the remainder of their contracts will be eliminated.

We are looking at going to what we can do as lowering costs and extending services.

There will be a lot of investigation of the services and the services before details can be established.

There will be multiple options to look at.

CSI has multiple organizations contacts that may be able to help in finding funds. Dreams, Dreams, Dreams

Suggestion is that we put trailers in front of the movies at the clubhouse to publicize what is happening. Put the ads on the Buses also

There was suggested that information be put out in Spanish and French as well as English.

These guys are living in a dream of their own making
