A QUESTION

A QUESTION FOR BOB RIVERA

You continue to malign the people on this blog who tell the truth about what's been happening behind closed doors in Century Village. You Praise David Israel as if he was master of the Universe. Now I am going to put you through the test. I am going to ask you the following question, and I dare you to answer it on this blog:

BESIDES HIS BLOG, WHAT HAS DAVID ISRAEL DONE FOR CENTURY VILLAGE?

  1. Do you have to ask such a silly question? Are you really Olga in disguise?

    2. I am the only one able to create a new post as OLGA WOLKENSTEIN.
No one can create a post disguised as me.
I can guess that because I have not received and answers to my question - there are none.

    3. At least Olga has a real purpose in life, do you? She sees many, many wrongs here in the village. But, maybe you don't like the way she presents herself or her style. Everybody is a fingerprint, you know, and she has a right to her expressions. But people like yourself think only HAIL TO THE KING! Do you kiss ring fingers also? Olga has the guts to stand up to a gang who fully control followers like yourself. I have, in fact, the same basic question: WHAT, IF ANYTHING, HAS DAVID ISRAEL DONE FOR CENTURY VILLAGE? You know, Anonymous, you're afraid. That's what he has done,-he has made everybody afraid...a great achievement. He has got his computer that he works with practically 24/7 and his inner circle composed of a small gang of ass-kissing servants who he uses to maneuver his ill-tempered actions to smite flat any logical opinions you might have. One thing for sure,-David Israel is not a people person. Everything is by computer so that he doesn't have to face you when he tears you apart. Boy, Oh Boy, Anonymous, have you been suckered in.

    5. Dear Anonymous,
Isn't it wonderful to have the freedom to spew your lies on this blog.
Why don't you ask your goo-roo David Israel to allow me to post on his blog.
What are you all afraid of; - the truth?

  4. If Bob isn’t going to answer this question, perhaps I can take a crack at it?

The blog was one of the first things Dave Israel did for the Village. It didn’t function perfectly—these things never do—but it provided a means for CVers to get answers to questions, to share things, for some things to be exposed, and to interact in a friendly way.

Dave made it clear that UCO’s main function was not to be the big boss over the condo associations, but to act in an advisory capacity. Only one example of this was his making it clear that although investigation of prospective owners and renters by UCO Investigations was highly recommended in most cases, it was not mandatory. Associations not only had the final say but had the right to entirely bypass Investigations if they wanted to. This was unknown by many people and associations in the Village. It was kept hidden from them by some, knowingly or unknowingly.

Dave wanted the UCO Reporter to operate as independently of UCO as possible. It can’t operate entirely independent of UCO, because it is an organ of UCO according to the UCO bylaws, but Dave wanted the newspaper to have as much autonomy as possible and more than it had had. Not all would agree, but I think he has faithfully hewn to this purpose.

Dave streamlined the procedure to get a transponder. Whereas it used to take two trips to UCO, with applicants sometimes having to wait SIX WEEKS to schedule the second trip (for actual installation of the transponder), now one can usually get a transponder installed by going once to UCO without an appointment.

Dave has taken most of UCO’s records, stored in file cabinet after file cabinet and taking up more space every year, and put them all online, on computer. No one, except those who work at UCO, SEE this, but it has been a giant step forward. When you have as many paper records as UCO (and the UCO Reporter)had, you often cannot find something that’s there. Now you can, and you can find it much quicker.

I’m going to stop here. There’s a LOT more Dave has done, as most in the Village now know, but this will be a reelection campaign piece for him if I don’t stop!

  5. To all the anonopuses who were unable to answer this question:

I will answer it for you.

Besides his blog, David Israel has done NOTHING for Century Village.

  6. ANSWER TO LANNY HOWE’S TRIBUTE TO DAVID ISRAEL:

Lanny Says: David’s blog provided us to get answers to questions and share things.
Olga Says: David’s blog exposed our dirty linen to the world and gave him a vehicle to expound his propaganda.

Lanny Says: David Made clear that UCO’s function was not to be big boss over the condo associations but to act out of an advisory capacity.
Olga Says: UCO never had any power over the associations. What else is new?

Lanny Says: Dave wanted the UCO Reporter to be independent as possible:
Olga Says: The UCO Reporter is as dependent on David Israel as an infant to his mother.
He can say anything he wants and the Reporter will print it.

Lanny Says: He streamlined the procedure to get a transponder.
Olga Says: OK, I’ll give you this one. However, I don’t believe it was his idea.

Lanny Says: David has most of UCO’s records and stored them online.
Olga Says: Yes, but how much has he destroyed in the process. The 1982 to 1985 issues of the UCO Reporter are online, but the 1986 to 2007 are still missing…...

By the way, Lanny, thank you for the complement of my Political Fairy Tale. A political Fairy Tale.
