At the advisory meeting of July, 11, 2013 Mr. Rivera submitted a bylaw change which required all present and future officers of UCO, if challenged, to provide proof of residency. This change, if passed would have meant:

All residents submitting a candidacy, or reelection to an office, whether officers or Executive Board Members will show proof or their (9) nine-month residency using the following criteria:

1.    Their Florida Drivers License showing their Residence address in Century Village

2.    Their Voters Registration Card showing their Residence in Century Village

3.    The prior (9) nine-month  water billing showing their Residence address is Century Village

(Stratford residents may use FPL billing).

4.    Any two of the above three methods shall be considered acceptable proof.

Failure to respond to this will cause their submission of candidacy to be canceled.

This motivation for this bylaw change was only to discredit and remove our present treasurer who has been serving us honorably for past three years.  It was unnecessary and a disgrace for Mr. Rivera to present this bylaw change to the committee simply because we already have an amendment to the bylaws requiring a (9) nine-month residency. His bylaw would have required every person running for office to show proof of the above underlined criteria BEFORE even getting on the ballot.

Mr. Rivera has been saying we need Term Limits because we cannot get experience candidates. How many candidates did he expect to get with this insane bylaw change?  – Not many, I guess.

Fortunately, for the first time, the advisory committee could not muster one vote, and the bylaw was DOA  (Dead on Arrival).

    it has been said that this is a vendetta against Dorothy, but it's not. She just happens to be the one violating the by-laws, and they can let her get away with it, all bets are off. you just opened the doors to ANYONE wanting a pet to get one, how about pot belly pigs and pit bulls, wanna buy a semi and drive it all over the village, be my guest, by laws don't mean a thing,

    Just for clarification, here is what the county's report says online, Note the address in the village and note the MAILING ADDRESS. If you live here, why does your mail go to Cypress Lakes?
    I guess All officers won't be held by the same standards after all.

  3. you also failed (conveniently , I might add) to mention that if you sell your property in Century Village, that you would have to renew your validation and failure to do so after 30 days would constitute your written resignation.
    Meaning, if you don't own here, you should not be in office. but if you want people running things here that don't live here, fine. your loss. I personally don't want to have someone that does not live here handling the millions in our accounts. Stupid move on the part of the Advisory Committee. I want to see Century Village protected, but you can't protect those that are suicidal. Good Luck.

    Some people never give up. The only thing you have proved is that our treasurer owns two properties. Many people own two residences and the one they choose to make their legal one is up to them to decide, not you.
    You also neglected to state all the reasons why your inane bylaw was rejected. It was rejected because, it was not legally viable. Face it Bob. You are just spinning your wheels to make noise to enhance your popularity but unfortunately, you are only succeeding in making a fool of yourself.
    You make many accusations, but you are never able to back them up with facts.
    I guess you did not read our notice clearly. We are only going to eliminate anonymous one line stupidity that offers nothing of value, PRO or CON. You may continue to entertain our readers with your ignorance.

  5. Bob, you actually are becoming manic in your perseverance on the same issue and one can almost see the spit flying. Take a chill pill and sit back. So one of your motions lost. So what. We lost the more important issue of term limits which we will be sure to revisit. What is your problem with Dorothy? My sister has a place here but I get her mail because she is always off one place or another - so what. She still homesteads her place because that is her residence. And quite honestly, Dorothy has done such a great job that I don't care if she lived in Andros Bay! We have been shafted by others who live/lived here - Kurt Weiss, Jean Dowling, Elaine, Anita, Dave, Ed Black and the list goes on.Just check Dave's personal blog where he only allows his sycophants to post. I see you are here, so stop the whining about censorship.   6. facts are right in front of you. if you live in a home, you get your mail there....not at another address, unless you have a post office box. BE REAL. OPEN YOUR EYES.Just because YOU are so Stupid and ignorant and she is your friend and you go to her parties, doesn't mean you don't know the facts. Just that you ignore what is convenient for you to ignore. I am going by FACT and fact alone. Dorothy may think I have something against her as you also think, but I don't. FACT IS, She lives elsewhere. It may not have gotten past the Advisory Board, but residents of Century Village deserve to know the truth. I don't care who is the treasurer, you could try, although I doubt you have enough integrity, Grossman is always telling us how he the letters C P A after his name, he could try... as long as the person lives HERE. If Dave moved to Cypress hills, I'd expect the same thing, but if it was Dave and not Dorothy, you'd totally be agreeing with me. I would then be afraid to make a sudden stop for fear of getting a free colonoscopy from your head. But since it's Dorothy violating the by law and not Dave, it's okay then. Hypocrite.

    Careful Mr. Rivera - Good advice to you is that you be very careful when you mention my name or use specific public documents for illicit purposes or for personal and selfish gain.

    I am a professional with more than fifty years experience in the Architectural Profession, and I don't think that you want to even come close to or suggest that I may have acted irresponsibly in any matter that could denigrate my reputation.

    I have advised my attorney of what your devious intentions appear to be and what you are doing, and should he deem it actionable in a libelous and/or defamatory way, -- I shall instruct him to take all necessary action and expend whatever sums that may be required to cause you to cease and desist and to stop you dead in your tracks. I will then seek to recover damages toward that end.
