Just returned from family event which was wonderful but wow! what I missed. This blog is hot with strong comments so let's see if I can address a few, though I must say that Gary and Olga have done quite a strong and forthright job. The problem is that the ninnies and buddies of Dave just won't give up. They go on and on about the same issues. It is like talking to a wall with them.
First, of course, we have their wonderful leader, Dave, who since October 8 at 10:17 PM has allowed a hate filled blog posting to remain on his blog and refuse to disavow it, so, Dave, you are officially approving a hatemonger, a prejudiced individual who represents YOU as you are the only one who approves and allows blog postings on your site and no answers allowed either. You send out your silly minions on nasty missions against the so called "few" that oppose you. Well, wake up and smell the coffee. There are many of us and growing every day. People, fellow residents of the Village - is this what we want representing us to the outside world?
Second, who, in the name of all that's holy, turned Elaine Brown into a Boss Tweed politician? I thought fake voting was a thing of the past and here she is, trying to throw fake delegates at us, delegates with no connection to the buildings they would be representing and no interest in finding out what they think. Must be your English background and the history of rotten boroughs. The residents of Century Village are quite capable of figuring out what to do and it is time that you and others, like Dave, stop condescending to them and treating them as if they are entering kindergarten and just not capable of understanding anything,
So let's see....what else? Oh yes, term limit rantings and ravings. After maneuverings, Dave managed to get the delegates to overturn the vote on term limits because he simply cannot cede power nor has he reached his evident end goal - the total bankruptcy of CV with his cockamamie financial actions. Well, when people return and see that the atmosphere is different, that Dave has not succeeded in running roughshod over the delegates, perhaps we will be able to get term limits back in and bring in fresh thinking, new ideas, out of the box possibilities - all that we need to get back on an even keel.
Finally, let us put to bed this nonsense of experience. So Dave has experience in being a president of UCO and not much before he assumed that role and he certainly did not learn anything from the couple of years he did have. His presidency has brought us dissension and tension, poor financial planning and extremely poor process of contract proposal and awarding of such, and the wasting of millions, yes, millions, of dollars as he robbed reserves of all their money in order to finance the worst paving and drainage job ever.
So what has his experience gained for us except proving to be a poor experience for us. Just sitting in at meetings, it is evident that there are many dedicated people working hard for the Village and it would behoove more people to get involved and hopefully they will when Dave is out. But it is also easily seen that there are the few, yes, Dave, YOUR FEW who would love to ride over all objections and get Dave's way for their master. We all know who they are. Someone wondered what I would do for volunteers after winning the election. Simple, we already have many people who are asking about roles they can play in a new and vital administration, really good and solid people, no ninnies around, and they and the wonderful people already volunteering, will do a great job. We have a huge brain trust here and it is time we really used it effectively. I have heard them talk at meetings and heard Dave put them down.
As far as my experience - yes, not much in CV UCO except for a few meetings over the years, but many interesting conversations with people in the administration over the years . The meetings I have been attending now quite frequently simply serve to back up my beliefs in what needs to be done and my administrative experience in my life prior to coming to live in CV is deep and successful. We all have not lived in a vacuum before coming here so it is time, Dave, to stop thinking that it is only your so called past experience at NSA that counts. Please!
Don't get me started on that.
New blood, new ideas, new processes, new financial planning, a wonderful combination of new and present volunteers - yes, after planning and carrying out the plans carefully and getting our Village back to where it should be - WE CAN HAVE IT ALL>

FYI,
ReplyDeleteDavid has kept Grace's hate-mongering post on his blog - B UT - he removed
Don4060's post admitting to a felonious crime when he openly bragged about coming into my parking lot with his computer and logging onto my Wi-Fi. As you know this is a serious crime but it appears David did not realize it at the time except when he was informed by this blog. That was when he removed it. He did not want to see his buddy in an orange jumpsuit compliments of the State of Florida.
I guess Dave doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. Can you pursue this?
