SOUR GRAPES by Bob Rivera
Chapter 1
My
name is Bob Rivera. I am angry at a bunch of closed-minded people who would not
allow my organization to lead the 5K March in the village with our motorcycles.
I am a member of “The combat veterans Association” We were originally asked to take the lead in the 5K run, but it appears when the CLOSED-MINDED STUPID PREJUDICE NAYSAYERS discovered we would take the lead in our motorcycles;
they decided it would be hazardous to our residents – they referred to us as “a
motorcycle gang” That made me mad. It made me so mad; I decided they were not
going to get our $1,000 donation. I am
also removing myself from photographing and writing the story for the UCO
Reporter – I’ll show them.

Yes,
I guess you will Bob. Good Riddance!

I don't think there will be many tears other than your own over this. If you really wanted to help, you could certainly do so without motorcycles. Originally, motorcycles were not even allowed in this village, and it is very sad that they appear here now. In fact, I'm going to donate more than I planned, to celebrate the fact that you won't be involved! There is also nothing lost, as far as I'm concerned, if you refuse to photograph this event. Others with excellent cameras will do it whether you do or not, so all is well. We won't miss your photos. In fact, I know there are many people that would not miss you either, not for a single second, if you moved out of this village, and I'm one of them. Your reputation in this village is far from good.
ReplyDeleteI hope good riddance forever.
ReplyDeleteI love you Olga.
Hey, look at that, --- Booby-Bob Rivera is back! I read what he had to say and I couldn't stop laughing for half an hour. Let's have a look; -- maybe you'll enjoy too.
ReplyDeleteHe says that he is a member of "The Combat Veterans Association." Vrooom, Vrooom, Vrooom. Well so what? Does that make you a big shot, Booby-Bob? He wants to lead the group, you know, wave like he's the mayor leading a parade and carry his Booby-Bob-Bow-wow on his motor sickle.
When he was stopped cold in his tracks by the people in command, he called them a bunch of "CLOSED-MINDED STUPID PREJUDICE NAYSAYERS." Hey, Booby-Bob, -- how about Israel and Back-Room-Black being the naysayers. Oh, my, how those pills confuse you.
Then he goes on to say: "they referred to us as a motorcycle gang. That made me mad, it made me so mad." Did it really make you soooo mad, like are you going to cry now, or fist pound on your motor sickle handle bars? Do you need some hankies? SO, SO MAD.
Then Booby-Bob decided that his motorcycle gang was not going to give a $1,000 donation. SO....SO, who gives a fiddler's fart? Use your money wisely, buy some medication that works.
Booby-Bob goes on to say "I am also removing myself from photographing and writing the story for the UCO Reporter---I'll show them." Hey, you go ahead and you SHOW THEM, Booby-Bob. NA----NA-NA---NA-NA.....go to it Booby-Bob,--you show 'em. EDUARDO
I AGREE, THIS RIVERA FELLA IS A JOKE. THOSE PILLS YOU TALK ABOUT MUST BE POTENT.
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up, Eduardo!
ReplyDeleteIt appears that there is some confusion about this article. I am being asked why Bob Rivera was allowed to post after being barred from this blog. Bob Rivera is barred and will continue to be so. I am the author of SOUR GRAPES. I wrote this in answer to the article Mr. Rivera wrote on his blog. My article consists of Bob Rivera's own words. When I read Rivera's article, I was appalled that he would go on such a rampage because his group was not allowed to use motorcycles in the village. If he had an ounce of maturity, he would have agreed to "WALK" the march rather than ride.
ReplyDeleteHis actions are a disgrace to all veterans.
Mr. Rivera's attitude is a perfect example of what a big baby he is.
ReplyDeleteWell you all may not like what I have to say BUT I'm going to anyway. Bob Rivera is a HUGE pain in the ass BUT at least he has some spine and speaks his mind and he has earned it.He is a VET and from what I can see he cares very deeply about VETS and he should be respected for that because he stands and delivers to less fortunate VETS. I'm not in full agreement with his rants and I think he has difficult time when someone disagrees with him and perhaps as a Vet he suffers from PTSD but he certainly deserves the respect as a VET of being heard. I read but admittedly not in depth his argument about being denied to use motor cycles in a parade. Many of you may not like motor cycles or have another reason they should not be allowed but I'm thinking that if Mr. Rivera and his fellow Vets were going to parade at a timely hour then perhaps it would not be such a terrible thing to allow them to do so....
