Clearing up Wi-Fi

Here I will attempt to clear up any misunderstandings as to what exactly is going on with Century Village and Wi-Fi

First off. David Israel is pushing his Wi-Fi plan. This is a village wide plan. So far all the bids have been turned down. The bid price begins at $1 Million dollars and up. There seems to be no end to what it can cost. There is no public plan.

To have your Association not particpate in this you must Opt-out.
Forms are avaiable on this blog.

Now having Opted-out you have 3 additional choices.

You can do nothing. This way you don't have Wi-Fi and don't pay anything for it

You can contract for your own unit Wi-Fi as part of your Comcast Package. Set this up with Comcast.

Or Your Association can Opt-in to subscribe to Comcasts Business class Wi-Fi. This can cost as little as $125 per month per association, all units get Wi-Fi. The $125 is a monthy charge to the building. There may be other 1 time expenses involved with the hook up depending on the size of your building.

All of this will explained Sunday Oct.12, Club House, Room C, 3:PM
