RU KIDDING ME !

$$$$$$$$$$$$      SIXTEEN GRAND      $$$$$$$$$$$$$
You gotta be kidding ? all that money to wrap lights around the trees at the entrances. They say it's beautification, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder
The lights they are talking about are the kind you see wrapped around everything at a strip club or a bingo hall.
Those lights were popular for a while, but they seem to be on a decline now as people move out of the disco headspace.
And what about energy conservation? And the rising FPL bill that goes along with the deal?
Let's not make Cv look like a strip club.

  4. No! Y-O-U gotta be kidding. When you get not so honest people establishing their own bank account, figuratively speaking, -- using monies from the 7,854 mandatory donators, then anything goes. No accountability....no approvals necessary....no discussions....no specific amounts....no access to records....NOTHING. If you're one of the inner core, undercover, sneaky people who wear a T-shirt with the words "I am not a crook" across the chest, then you can just dip your sticky fingers into the single banking account and pull out whatever sums you want. It is all perfectly legal...you know why? It's because you, you and you, including all the Delegates, of course, that have allowed that manipulation of money....YOUR MONEY. In my opinion, -- doing that is a form of stealing. So, taking sixteen thousand dollars from a non-designated pot to satisfy somebody's whim about wrapping trees with lights is like providing a honky-tonk decoration that is going the way of the hoola-hoop. Who is responsible, -- totally responsible? -- it has to be UCO's president, of course, --David Israel, and the back-door man always in the shadows and who controls several UCO Committees, -- and let us not forget the man who pushes Israel's buttons, -- Ed Black. This team, who could talk a cat off of a fish wagon, take seven bank accounts that coincided with the established budget so that all monies could be accounted for, and reduced them to one reserve account, in other words, -- miscellaneous....and use it for whatever comes to mind. Does this make any sense? Is it criminal...very close. This is incredible....these poor saps sit there, the Delegates, crunching on medication, like peanuts, and they allow this to happen.
A sensible person has to conclude, -- whatever happens down the road that you find extremely harmful to your pocketbook and/or living conditions, -- you can only blame yourself for not doing anything or saying anything. In other words, what you get is what you deserve. EDWARD J. ROSS

  5. We used to have lights around trees. This village was conceived as a middle class village with middle class people and middle class ideas. You Ed Ross don't want to spend a penny. You just like to complain. Why are you here? Why not keep the village looking good or are you just cheap???

  6. I love to spend money, Miss Gracie, that's what money is for. But, spending it frivolously, like wrapping trees with bubble lights is, in fact, making the Village look chintzy, -- a carnival atmosphere. I'd prefer spending the money, 16 grand, to illuminate the beautiful royal palm trees from the ground shining skyward. Professional lighting engineers can give you an education about doing that form of lighting. Your comment about "cheap" -- the clothes you wear look like they're third-hand from Goodwill...now that,
madam, is the meaning of cheap. Oh yeah, I do like to complain, especially when I know what is happening right before my very eyes is very wrong or even criminal. Finally, Century Village was never conceived as a middle class community. It was built as a recreational/retirement community for anyone who could afford the very low cost to purchase and low cost of living conditions. And, it wasn't built for a dictator. Wake up, Miss Gracie, and don't forget to take your tranquilizers hourly with that jungle juice you drink. EDWARD J. ROSS

  7. Sorry Ed. My mother lived in Wellington B when it was first built. There were retired doctors and lawyers in the building who were friends of my mother. This was a middle class community. I have been around here since the early 70s when I visited my mother. I have lived here since 2001 so I am well versed with the village. By the way Edward making nasty remarks won't endear you to anyone.

    1. You, my dear, have cornered the market for making nasty remarks. I've read and have heard a good deal about your writings, and I seriously have to wonder if you ever say anything good about anybody. I think you just like to argue just for the sake of arguing.
I'll tell you what, Miss Gracie, I'll respect your opinion if you'll respect mine. I may learn something from you, if you talk sensible, and vice versa. If I say that there are two current top officials in the CV administration that are crooks. That's my opinion and you might say: Can you prove that? My answer could be: read the Links to Eduardo's Scandals Series. You may not want to argue so much. EDWARD J. ROSS
