ONCE AGAIN, THE WORLD AND US
Today there was a story in the paper about the Catholic Church and how they had been stonewalling their parishioners and churches for years. The documents that were needed to appeal the closings of so many churches were refused, hidden, went missing, just to keep them out of the hands of the Church members. This was totally against canon law and one of the canonical advisers to the parishioners asked, "Why can't you just play straight?"
I ask that same question of the UCO organization here. Why do you think you have the right to keep documents and books from the residents of the Village? Why do you not realize that eventually you too will be forced to face up to your legal responsibilities and hand them over.
If even the Church can be forced to do this and questioned about their actions and motives, then certainly it is right and okay to do the same with UCO. The truth will out, fresh air will flow, and all secrets will come out of the closet. Isn't it better to just do the right thing rather than leave behind a legacy of paranoia and trouble? As the adviser asked, "Why can't you just play straight?"
