Barbara Cornish Awake!!

BARBARA CORNISH NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND JOIN THE RANKS OF THE LIVING.

In her opinion column in the UCO Reporter Barbara Cornish claims we do not need term limits. She claims we already have them, and they are called elections.  If Ms Cornish really believes term limits are synonymous with elections she has been living on another planet too long, and it’s time she got on her broom and flew back to earth. Term limits mean a candidate, after fulfilling the required two terms, cannot run again in an election. It means you; the voter does NOT HAVE A CHOICE. You cannot vote for a candidate who is term limited PERIOD. In an election, you DO HAVE A CHOICE. You can vote for any candidate you please. If Ms Cornish sincerely believes term limits, and elections are the same she is in dire need of a dose of electric shock.

HAVING A CHOICE TO CHOOSE A CANDIDATE AND NOT HAVING A CANDIDATE TO CHOOSE  ARE DEFINITELY  NOT THE SAME.

  2. IF THERE IS VILLAGE WIDE VOTING FOR THE CANDIDATES FOR UCO, THEN THE CHOICE OF WHO GETS ELECTED IS MADE BY THE RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE, WHO ARE PAYING TO BE INFORM ON THE TRUTH, WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE VILLAGE. THE RESIDENTS PAY & HAVE NO VOICE ON ANY POLICY, CONCERNING THE VILLAGE. THIS IS OUR VILLAGE & WE SHOULD HAVE A VOICE ON HOW IT IS RUN.

  3. If we get term limits back, the chicken lady will run for president under the moniker "Toxic Tart," and her campaign manager will be secret agent Ed Black. Poor Frank, he'll become the "Toxic Fart."

If you have an opinion, which apparently you do, why are you so "fearfull" that you MUST hide your identity?

  4. We hve never had a VP, more INVOLVED than Barbara Cornish, perhaps she did not explain her position clearly...she, like I, oppose Term Limits...We both feel, ANYONE
should be able to CHALLENGE any OFFICER, annually...Why should we endure 2 yrs of someone's term, when it becomes apparent they are NOT competent to serve 1?
Of course the By laws, would require change, from the way they were written ages ago...Think about that...

    1. Dear Bettie,
It is my understanding that the President and Vice Presidents of UCO are elected to two year terms. After their two year terms expire, you can vote them out of office. Unfortunately, you must endure them for two years, unless, as you suggest we change the bylaws to one year terms.
If you cannot endure them for 2 years, why would you even considerer having them in office indefinitely. This is what your opposition to term limits makes possible. And please, do not give me Barbara Cornish's answer which is, the delegates can vote them out. It is not possible to have an honest election when the opposition is barred from all communication venues in the village..

    2. My dear Olga:
As you well know, no one can predict just how well, a newly elected officer will perform, so one takes the "Chance" and elects the party they "Think" will, however, in a matter of 6 months, they either can, or cannot and that is my reason, for Annual Elections, without Term Limits..If they do excel, and no one challenges them, they should be able to run again...No one is compensated, they do not receive any
Benefits, unlike the Federal Gov't, who are "taken care of" for LIFE.
On another note, I believe everyone who posts, should identify themselves...what do they fear?

  5. Barbara Cornish believes she knows it all. She may be somewhat smart but she does not have the ability to understand that without term limits Mr. Israel will get elected until he drops dead. How can she say the delegates can elect anyone they please when David bars them from honest campaigning. Meanwhile he calls presidents to his office each week to tell them how wonderful he is.
Wake up Barbara youhave been sleeping too long.

  6. Dear Bettie,
If you want to have yearly elections, please begin a petition. I have no objections to them.
David Israel has been President for 5 years. He signed a one page 2.3 million dollar contract by himself to begin a failed paving job. If you sincerely believe the delegates had the where-with-all to dump him then, think again.
WE NEED TERM LIMITSTO GET RID OF TYRANTS WHO BRAINWASH AND BULLY RESIDENTS.
