A MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL STATE OF MICHIGAN: SITUATION.. While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday  morning, I saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it. For whatever reason, I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Canton PD and they were going to check it out. But, this is what the Police advised even before they went out there to check... "There are several things to be aware of... Gangs and thieves are now plotting different ways to get a person (mostly women) to stop their vehicle and get out of the car. There is a gang initiation reported by the local Police Department where gangs are placing a car seat by the road...with a fake baby in it....waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the abandoned baby. Note that the location of this car seat is usually beside a wooded or grassy (field) area and the person - woman - will be dragged into the woods, beaten and raped, and usually left for dead. If it's a man, they're usually beaten and robbed and maybe left for dead, too. DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON! DIAL 9-1-1 AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW, BUT DON'T EVEN SLOW DOWN. Oh yea, about the EGGS: IF YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSHIELD, DO NOT STOP TO CHECK YOUR CAR, DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPERS AND DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATER BECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY, AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5%, AND YOU ARE THEN FORCED TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE CRIMINALS. THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS, SO PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND THESE ARE UNSAVORY INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL TAKE DESPERATE MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT." Please talk to your loved ones about this. This is a new tactic being used. Please be safe. WARNING # 3: Some knew about the red light on cars, but didn’t know about Dialing 112 . It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren’s parents have always told her to never pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc. Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice and promptly called 112 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back-up already on the way. Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the car and tackled him to the ground. The man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes. I never knew about the 112 Cell Phone features. I tried it on my AT&T phone & it said, "Dialing Emergency Number." Especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an unmarked car.  Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going on to a safe place. *Speaking to a service  representative at Bell Mobility confirmed that 112 was a direct link to State trooper info. So, now it's your turn to let your friends know about "Dialing 112 "     This applies to ALL 50 states .

Messenger club Party, John McCain, and Donald Trump

So the Messenger Club's Memorial Day Services and Party was attended well and was a big success. Missing were the nasties from the David Israel contingent. Actually only 3 people were  present, apparently petty politics holds over showing respect for our warriors, alive and otherwise.

There was music and dancing. The music was provided by singers, dancing mostly by the ladies. The dancing was good and enjoyable.

I will tell you this, the AC was fine, but once it got going it was too cold to be wearing shorts. I was told that Israel wanted to stop this event, but he couldn't, so he did the next best thing he ordered the AC on freeze.

Now, listening to the Donald Trump.  Remember he called McCain a coward for getting caught. If asked how does he feel about John McCain, To-day he says he is a great man and one of our heroes. Flip-flop!

Further on Mr,. Trump,we must remember that he is a counter puncher. If you don't want to be beat up stay away from him. Of course, another way to look at it is that he is a school yard bully.

Memorial Day Service and Party and Dave Israel's objections to this Holiday,

There is a lot of support for the second annual Memorial Day service and celebration scheduled on Monday, May 30th in the clubhouse. Many Cv residents eagerly anticipate coming out to remember the sacrifice, and to celebrate the freedom Americans  so valiantly fought for.

The Messenger Club, who are sponsoring the event, have encountered a wave of opposition from the administration since the inception of this event. Last year the Club was refused the use of CV facilities to conduct the service and were compelled to find an alternate venue. This year's event is facing obstructionism again.

The club's determination to pay homage to the million men and women who gave their lives in the defense of freedom since 1776 is undeterred by the unreasonable obstructionism perpetrated and supported by the administration.

In attempting to advertise this year's event, the Club was dismayed by the denial of access to channel 63, and the complaints of David Israel who objected to the club posting a flier on the bulletin board in the medical building. He insisted that the rental agency for the building remove the flier.

There is no good reason for this egregious act. It's well known that there is no love lost between the club and David Israel. The Messenger Club is active in bringing to light the failings and shortcomings of the administration. Mr. Israel's behavior in attempting to stifle the Memorial Day service goes beyond the pale.

The refusal to air a poster on channel 63 is another matter. The channel is totally controlled by David Israel, Joy Vestal and Ed Black who have consistently refused any programming from who they deem to be opponents of their tenure. The recent airing of an interview by the owner of a bagel shop is a thinly disguised promotion of that business. This is something that is prohibited under the agreement with Comcast who provide the community channel service to CV. How using the channel to promote a business while refusing to air a Century Village event honoring our war dead is beyond explanation and beyond any reasonable excuse.

The question that needs answering from the residents who voted for and support David Israel and his cronies  is:  In giving your support to these people, does that mean you are also in favor of their actions in this matter? Do you think it's right for David Israel to not only fail to attend but to  go out of his way to stifle the Memorial Day services? Do you think it's appropriate for the administration to not only refuse supportt, but to actively attempt to obstruct this event ?

If your answer is no, then you really need to question your motives in voting them into office, and you need to voice your objections to this kind of behavior.

Failing to recognize and act is not just turning a blind eye to CV politics ,it's an insult to the men and women who gave their lives to protect the very freedoms that this administration so readily tramples.

In spite of the administration's feeble attempts to interfere with the Memorial Day service, it will proceed as planned. We look forward to CV residents attending to demonstrate their commitment to supporting the freedoms we enjoy that were achieved through the continuing  sacrifice of America's sons and daughters.

To demonstrate your support and appreciation for your freedoms plan on attending the event at 12.00 noon in the Clubhouse on Monday morning. We doubt that any of the administration will be there to show their commitment to freedom. Their absence speaks volumes about where they stand on true democracy.

What I think.

I'll tell you what I think.

First off,it must be nice, no wonderful, to know everything about everything and postulate about it without  fear of contradictions. It must be great to know it all. So goes David Israel.

In Syria, why do we only go after the fighters? Why do we not go after the leaders? Why is Assad safe and his fighters and the civilians attacked?

There is a missing link in our Village. I have looked high and low for ours, to no avail. I cannot find any evidence of Honesty by the current administrators.

Donald Trump is a school yard Bully. We have some that reside right here in our Village. He and they should not be given respect.

Donald Trump seems to lie to us He says one thing during his Primary runs, and now that they are over he wants to walk them back, to repudiate them, to take them back. How can you trust this man?

That might sound a bit like Dr. Seuss, but it was written by the British painter and poet Edward Lear, who popularized limerick poems in his “Book of Nonsense” (1846).

The limerick’s name has been traced to France, where an 18th-century Irish Brigade was serving.

The men returned with a song, “Will You Come Up to Limerick?” — an Irish city and county. The chorus may have developed into what became the limerick form, some scholars say.

Lear had been hired to paint an aristocrat’s private menagerie and he came up with his poems to amuse the children in the household. He said he got the idea from an old nursery rhyme.

The five-line poems have an AABBA rhyme scheme, meaning the first, second, and last lines rhyme, as do the third and fourth lines.

The first and second lines introduce a character, activity or setting while the third and fourth lines are generally shorter to intensify the punch line.

The last line, of course, should be amusing.

UCO's Broadband (read Wi-Fi)
