Opposing the Presiding President

Since when is opposing the presiding President a disturbance? During "Good and Welfare", delegates can talk about anything that touches our lives in Century Village. So why does David Israel keeps silencing Olga? Many of our clubs "advertise" their affairs during the delegates assembly meetings, so why is Olga any different? On such a small matter, this president can go all the way, causing disturbance and animosity on the verge of chaos, all just to silence her.  

David Israel keeps bashing his opponents by stating that "it is a small group that disturbs the the meetings". On the other hand, his henchmen group is even smaller. The rest of the delegates are THE SILENT MAJORITY or in other words The IRRELEVANT MAJORITY.

The disturbances referred to here are solely the fault of David Israel. He is the one out of control.- Blogger

The reasons for the apathetic behavior of our delegates could be many. Here are some, which are but a few, that I fished by talking to delegates and residents:

I have come to South Florida to retire and I am not interested in "Politics".
I am not built to fight.
I am too bashful to stand before the audience.
I do not take sides.
I stay away from animosity.  

I am sure that there are many more reasons.

This is why we can say that 'Century Village Delegate Assembly has an IRRELEVANT MAJORITY'.
 
I came across a fantastic video which touches the core of many of our residents concerns. Although Dr. Brigitte Gabriel talks about the Muslims, the idea and the meaning are very much relevant to our case as well.

 If anyone has a doubt about Robert's Rules, hereunder is the proof.  Pay attention the page 81. Any delegate CAN APPEAL the "out of order". Will David Israel  let you use it? I doubt it!!! He is using the same book for his  infamous "out of order" order.

Surreptitiously photographing

I think it is time to disband UCO and start over again. I think that we gave them to much power and now they are running out of control. Remember power corrupts and total power corrupts totally.

Two incidents among many have occurred. One is the lack of understanding of the problems that are happening with renters. The lack of assistance from UCO. Actually the insulting remarks concerning this by the minions of the President.

The other is the bold faced invasion of our privacy in the Club. Apparently Ed Black, the Volunteer? Has directed that all people that enter the club house be photographed. So all auto licenses are photographed, and now all peoples that enter the club house are being photographed. surreptitiously.

What is the problem they are trying to solve? This is  gated Community. Once the bad guys get in then we can catch them at the Clubhouse. Is that what we want?

This is Paranoia; This is a show of force. Against who? The Grandmothers? The Grandfathers? Who?

Is this what we want for our Village? Is this not the NSA attitude, which is good for them, but not for our retirement Community?

Why are the Delegates not doing something to stop this. The power to change resides in the Delegate Assembly. We can fix this if we wish. So why don't we?

Wake up Delegates! Before you know it some more of your God Given rights and liberties will disappear.

He is just like any other ordinary person. But worse yet where does UCO or WPRF get the the right , the permissions, to intrude on our Liberties. Read it and weep. The answer, according to Federal Law, is that you must disclose that you are taking pictures and recording. At the April Delegates meeting Barabra made a point asking the Messenger Club whether they were recording and placing in a public venue. Ed Grossman replied that UCO does not tell the Delegates that the Videos are going into the Public Venue, they are. As is the Messenger club Videos.

But what is happening with the results of the  illegal actions by UCO of taking everybody's picture as they enter the Club House. Where will they be published to? Facebook? Youtube? The Very private Blog? The UCO Recorder? The Palm Beach Post?

2)      WE ARE ALL REQUIRED TO STOP AND PHYSICALLY PRESENT THEIR PASSES VERY CLOSE TO THE GUARD.

3)      THAT THE GUARDS WERE ORDERED BY ED BLACK TO RECORD THEIR CONVERSATIONS AND TAKE THEIR PICTURES.

4)      THESE ACTIONS ARE DONE BY TWO HIDDEN CAMERA,S ON IN THE BACK OF EACH SIDE OF THE DESK.

5)      THESE CAMERAS ARE HIDDEN AND THE GUARDS DO NOT INFORM ANYONE,

6)      THERE ARE NO SIGNS ADVISING ANYONE THAT THEY ARE BEING RECORDED OR FILMED.

7)      RUTH TOLD THE GUARD THAT SHE WAS OPPOSED TO BEING RECORDED OR RECORDED WITHOUT HER KNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT.

8)      THE GUARD WAS RUDE SAYS HE DID NOT CARE THAT HE WAS UNDER ORDERS OF ED BLACK.

9)      RUTH RESPONDED WHO IS ED BLACK?

10)   ALL THE OTHER WOMEN  WERE UPSET AS WERE MANY OTHERS IN THE CARD ROOM WHEN THEY LEARNED THAT THEY WERE FILMED AND RECORDED WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE.

11)   I WENT TO THE CLUBHOUSE TO SEE FOR MYSELF.

12)   AL THE GUARD WAS  AT THE DESK.

13)   UPON MY ASKING ABOUT THIS  NON NOTICED ACT AL SAID THE FOLLOWING:

A)     HE WAS VERY UPSET WITH THE WHOLE THING.

B)      HE SHOWED ME THE HIDDEN CAMERAS.

C)      HE ACKNOWLEDGED THERE WAS NO DISCLOSURE OF  THIS PROCESS.

D)     HE CONFIRMED IT WAS ED BLACKS ORDERS.

E)      HE ADVISED ED BLACK WHO IGNORED HIM.

F)      HE SAID HE HAN NO OBJECTIONS TO MY RECORDING HIS ACTIONS OR WORDS.

G)     HE WANTED THE WORD TO GET OUT

H)     HE SAID HE WAS SO UPSET THAT COULD NO LONGER TAKE IT AND WAS LOOKING FOR A JOB.

I)        HE SAID TAKE IT UP WITH UCO.

J)       HE SAID THERE SOME SORT OF MEETING THIS WEEK WITH THE GUARDS.

K)      AL SAID MUCH MORE AND I ADVISED HIM THAT HE WILL BE FORMALLY INTERVIEWED BY THE CVMESSINGER FOR AN ARTICLE ON THIS SUBJECT.

L)       UPON ADVISING HIM OF THE ARTICLE I ALSO TOLD AL THAT THE CV MESSINGER WILL TAKE A PHOTO OF HIM AND FEATURE IT ALONG WITH THE ARTICLE AS HIS PICTURE JUST APPEARED IN THE UCO REPORTER.

M)   AL SAID YOUR FREE TO PRINT WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT HE  DID NOT WANT HIS PICTURE IN THE PAPER.

N)     AL WHEN QUESTION WHY IS HE IN THE UCO REPORTER BUT TO OBJECTS TO HIS PICTURE IN THE CV MESSENGER AL REPLIED HE DID NOT WANT HIS PICTURE IN THE UCO REPORTER AND EXPRESSED HIS OBJECTION TO THE POWERS THAT BE AND HE WAS ADVISED “YOUR JUST AN  EMPLOYEE AND YOU HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER”

HOW TO SHUT UP UNIT OWNERS -- JUST SAY "YOU'RE OUT OF ORDER."

Thirteen times the Dictator said to Olga Wolkenstein "YOU'RE OUT OF ORDER!"    1 3   T  I  M  E  S.

Dan Gladstone couldn't utter a single sentence before the Dictator said "YOU ARE NOW OUT OF ORDER!"

People of Century Village,  -- this man Israel is your president.  Is this the proper way a president of an organization having 7,854 Unit Owners is supposed to present himself?  Or, any organization for that matter?

NO, I don't think so,  -- not in a hundred years.

If you take a look at Robert's rules of Order, of which we are governed involving parliamentary procedures, 11th Edition, view "Good of the Order, General Good and Welfare, Open Forum."  In fact, Olga was not Out-of-Order,  -- not in any way.  If you take the time to read Robert's Rules in more detail, you'll clearly see that the dictatorial Israel was he, himself, clearly Out-of-Order by his actions.

For the life of me, I just don't get it.......the people, the Delegates and Non-delegates, just sit there and don't say a frigging word.  Are they afraid of Israel?  Are they too stupid to react?  Are they overusing their medications?  Are they too bashful to stand and tell Israel that they won't take what he's dishing out anymore?

WHAT?

How can you respect such a man who doesn't know how to act in situations requiring professionalism, leadership, patience and understanding?  How can you allow him to continue?  By his actions, he really needsto be taken out of his chair by a few men in white coats.  Let Israel then yell to them "YOU'RE OUT OF

ORDER" while they stuff him in an ambulance and he's still mumbling.

Lest we forget,  --- picture yourself now looking through a window at a man tied to the arms of a chair in an institution saying repeatedly "PLEASE BE SEATED"....."PLEASE BE SEATED"....."PLEASE BE SEATED."

That could be the very same man as our president of UCO saying that over and over while conducting a

Delegates' Meeting  ----  14 times he said  "PLEASE BE SEATED."   HELLO? 

The Delegates' Meeting is like going to a circus or a carnival.  The Dictator does not know how to keep order because, in reality, he just doesn't know how.  "Call 911, Al" is certainly not viable."  

He is so all about himself that he just doesn't realize that people do, in fact, have opinions and when they can be openly said.  It burns him up to listen to what some one else has to say about a particular subject.  Like a spoiled rotten child, he objects (and he has the gavel), but if YOU object, he'll say something like "This is not Parliament," or  "YOU'RE OUT OF ORDER," or, "PLEASED BE SEATED,"  or  " TURN OFF THEIR MIKES," or, the storm trooper tactics "CALL 911, AL."

It just doesn't make any good sense to keep this dictator in office.  People need to bring up Term Limits again and get it passed.  It passed once before and this time it needs to stick......getting rid of the manipulations by Israel during the process.  But, before that, we absolutely need to get him off of his throne,  He's killing this

Village piece by piece.  When CV, by reputation and high cost to live there becomes unbearable, it will, unfortunately, be too late.

A few words to you, Mr. Israel, Lord Master of Century Kingdom, .... FACTA NON VERBA.   Literal translation would be DEEDS NOT WORDS.  The modern translation would be --- do something worthwhile and cut the OUT-OF-ORDER bullshit.

Roberts Rules

Below is an article explaining the use of Roberts Rules and how it applies to us. What I don't understand is if we are not using Robert's Rules to conduct our meetings, and we are not the British Parliament, then what are we using?

I know using David Israel's rules in not good. He rules by denying free access based on Political persuasion. Probably against a Federal law.

Robert’s Rules of Order Are Not “The Law” For Association Meetings. But is there any thing better?

Question: Our condominium documents do not specifically mention any parliamentary rules or procedures that are to be used in conducting our meetings. Our president says that the meetings must be conducted pursuant to the “Florida sunshine laws.” Does Florida require that meetings be run pursuant to Robert’s Rules of Order, or some other parliamentary procedures? Answer: The Florida Statutes do not require the use of any particular parliamentary procedures or rules. Further, there is a 1960 decision from Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal which holds that Robert’s Rules of Order is not binding or mandatory in corporate proceedings. However, the governing documents for many communities incorporate Robert’s Rules of Order as the applicable parliamentary guide for association meetings.

Robert’s Rules of Order can be very confusing, and is often misquoted. Helpful tips on using Robert’s Rules of Order, including handy charts, are available for free on the website of North Carolina attorney Jim Slaughter, at www.jimslaughter.com. Mr. Slaughter, a certified parliamentarian and immediate past president of the College of Community Association Lawyers, has also published helpful books on parliamentary procedure, including “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Parliamentary Procedure” and “Notes and Comments on Robert’s Rules.” These books are available in most online bookstores.

Regarding to reference to the “Florida sunshine laws,” there are specific rights property owners have at association meetings. All three community association statutes provide that owners have the right to attend board meetings and speak at board meetings with reference to all designated agenda items. Members are also entitled to “participate” in membership meeting

Does this mean all except Olga?

Further, owners are also entitled tape record or video tape board or membership meetings. The statutes all provide that associations may adopt written reasonable rules governing frequency, duration and manner of owner statements at meetings, and may also regulate the taping of meetings by owners. I have found it a good idea to have such a set of guidelines.

Is this what we want from our Leader? An out of control ranting by the President of UCO. This man did not even hear what one of our delegates had to say. He decided that what ever it was, he and us were not allowed to hear it. "This is not the British Parliment", it is not even the US Congress. It reminds me of Germany 1933.

Who are they?  They are the people who are aware of the injustice being preyed upon them each day by the likes of David Israel, Ed Black, Joy Vestal and the UCO officers who support them; nevertheless, they say nothing, they remain mum as the bullets fly in their direction to pierce their apathetic armor. They never wake up to complain of the shower of injustice sprayed on them each day. Who are they? They are you, the  people of Century Village who dare not speak up to support the brave ones who are not afraid of standing  up for you against  the likes of David Israel when he dares to shut down the voice of reason and opposition. They are you, who complain at the pools each day about how terrible UCO is and how we so desperately need a management company. When the time is ripe for you to speak up, you remain mum; afraid to speak up for fear the Devil David will take away  something precious, some ethereal, you don’t know what it is, but you feel you cannot live without it so you do not take a stand. You take the bullets of injustice that are being shot at you each day and remain mum. You are the guilty ones. You are the walking dead. And as long as you do nothing, you will remain dead.

WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?

     Well, it seems I missed quite a bit today at the DA which never should have been held today anyway out of respect for those who observe the holidays. But this is only symbolic and representative of the disrespect that this administration shows or displays toward the residents of the Village.
     In addition, the temper tantrum is also a great big sign that there is something seriously wrong with the man. No Channel 63, no meetings allowed, no debates, and now, one is not allowed to speak up, properly, at the correct time, with a relevant issue if that issue is one that he does not approve. I have written already that the CV Messenger paper is well distributed and is growing. You see, the truth will out no matter how hard one tries to hide it, bury it.
     When one man cannot deal with criticism, cannot deal with opposition, does all he can to shut all opposition down and then throws a tantrum when he is not successful, when all do not bow down in obeisance to him, then how can we believe one word he says, one thought he puts down on paper.  WHY DOES HE ALWAYS THREATEN THE USE OF FORCE. FASCISM AND ITS UGLY HEAD AFGAIN? Leaders, mature and sensitive, capable leaders, do not throw tantrums, do not feel the whole world is against him, does not subscribe to the formerly shouted theMe of The 60's - the whole world is watching.

David Israel portrayed his evil side when he disrupted a speech given by me at the Delegate Assembly during Good of the Order (Good of the Order is the only legitimate opportunity the residents have to speak on a subject of their choosing) the subject in question was,  to make a request for volunteers for the CV Messenger Newspaper. David did not like the topic, interrupted me before I was finished and abruptly asked me to sit down. When I refused, he went berserk and threatened to call in the law. Since I was not committing any crime, I decided to stand my ground, call a point of order and continue to stand.   After a few minutes of David saying “SIT” and I was saying “NO," he became exasperated and decided to adjourn the meeting.

So the wicked wizard (WW) of UCO has given us, the valued opposition, a compliment. He says that our the CV Messenger Newspaper is a so called Newspaper. Little does he know that the "so called Newspaper" actually is a Newspaper. It has grown from 1 page to 12 pages. Our mailing list is growing exponentially. The fact that the Wicked Wizard (WW) is down on us only makes us stronger and more popular. Thank you David Israel.

I see at the recent Delegate Assembly the WW tried to silence a member from exercising her legal right to be heard. Thank you he was not successful. The cops were called, but did not come. Had the the PBO shown up they probably would have taken the delegate away and her protagonist. More than likely they don't show up any more at the beck and call of WW.  So much for the right to free speech. So much for Roberts Rules. Apparently these rights only exist at the favor of the WW, or so he thinks.

Passover and Good Friday

Good Friday is a Christian religious holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is celebrated all over the world. It is a big holiday.

 Passover Celebrates the Exodus, the freedom from slavery of the Children of Israel from ancient Egypt that followed the Ten Plagues.It is a big Holiday.

 So why is it that the Wizard of UCO does not feel it necessary to show some respect to the observing Jews and Christians and delay the Delgate Assembly or make it a day earlier? What is so sacred about a Delegate Assembly. One of 12? It can't be moved?

Perhaps no body at 2102 is aware of the signifance of this holiday. Are they aware of the signifance of Christmas? Of Yom Kippur?

No thinking is going on at that place!

Bad, Bad Water

So what is going on with our Ponds, lake and waterways. A not so close inspection shows that the water is polluted or very close to it. The Birds are gone. The fish are gone. The waters are unfit for human use.

The birds are gone since they can't feed in polluted waters. The good fish are gone for the same reason.

So what is the problem?

I notice that the level is down, but I don't think this is the root cause.

The root cause is the kind of water we are buying to replenish our needs. The water we are buying is full of pesticides, full of phosphorus, full of all kinds of chemicals. None are good for fish, or good for birds, or good for humans.

Aeration would help to maintain a good clarity if we start out with a good clarity.

We are buying 2nd or 3rd tier water. Why? For the price?

So what can we do here? What does first class water cost? Why are we purposely buying this bad water. Do we have a choice? What is the difference in cost?

Is there any other solution to these problems? Who is working on them?: Why are we not informed?

The Golf Course problem

The following was posted by our good friend, knowledgeable and courteous PICRUISE. Filling up space as usual. The problem is that he is recommending a capitulation on our Golf Course.

" Its time for Southhampton to give up their losing fight.  There WILL be a development on the closed golf course unless the Waldmans decide not to develop.  More money to third rate lawyers trying to fight this is money wasted."

Rather than going over the steps that can still be taken to protect our Golf Course in perpetuity, he counsels quitting. I'll bet he never made a meeting or volunteered any money for this cause.

There always something that can be done. Once you walk away from a fight you lose. So instead do not give up. Who knows maybe thye Waldman's will change their minds. Maybe a Judge will resurrect this challenge back to common sense.

Quitting is just dumb!
