REQUEST FOR ELECTION RECORDS - HOT POTATO - TINKER TO EVERS TO CHANCE - I WONDER WHY - DAVID ISRAEL
I don't get it. The State of Florida, the County of Palm Beach and the City of West Palm Beach all mandate the free access to elections and election results. So what is our President afraid of? What makes him wonder when a Citizen Voter asks for the details of the election results? What is there to wonder about?
This request is a lawful request and the denial is unlawful.
Just exactly what is Mr. Israel frightened about? Could it be there are irregularities in the election? These irregularities seem to be well hidden. But if Mr. Israel is worried that these irregularities can be found, fear not, they will be.
So the law is being broken here. This attitude will not stand.
Gary
If it were me who asked for the voting records and I was refused, I would not have hesitated for a second, I would have called Tallahassee and reported it. I don't know why Esther hasn't done so. You have nothing to hide Dave, if you and your chronies have done nothing wrong, so what's the problem with honoring this request?
ReplyDeleteThere is NO hot potato. The request has been re-tracted by Esther, so why are you turning this into something controversial>?
ReplyDeleteMuck raking is what it is termed. Stop it!
It has been rescinded for NOW due to personal circumstances and reasons but has not been given up. The right is still there and I have posed other questions that need answering. (By the way, muckraking is an honorable term as it exposes a dirty underlining of issues and is so presented in American history.) The controversy was already there so no one is doing anything. Asking questions is an American right. If you are not sure, I refer you to the Constitution and the Amendments. Please do not make more or less of this than it is and do not assign any names or claims against people who are exercising the right to question, think and ask questions. Civility is the key.
ReplyDeleteThe comment was directed to Gary (whose Blog this is supposed to be owned by) not to sensationalize this issue as a "hot potato". I often get confused as to who owns this Blog. Gary, Olga, Esther? Perhaps I can be educated! By the way, the term muckraker was used by Teddy Roosevelt and became popular after President Theodore Roosevelt referred to the character in a 1906 speech; Roosevelt acknowledged that "the men with the muck rakes are often indispensable to the well being of society; but only if they know when to STOP raking the muck..." EVERYONE please take note.

DeleteI laugh at the statement by anonymous, who is not man/woman enough to sign their real name, suggesting that I'm tuning this into something controversial. Seems to me that Dave is the one who has been turning this into something controversial. He's the one denying the American right to view the ballots. I didn't request to see the ballots, but I have a right to state my opinion of what I would have done if it had been me. This IS America in case anonymous isn't aware.
ReplyDeleteIs David hiding something? Me thinks he is.
