Consequences

DAVID ISRAEL BLOGGER LETS THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG.

The blogger who calls himself MIKE did not realize the consequences to his actions when he posted the following:
It’s rumored by the malcontents that Dave Israel and Ed Black (a former USAF Radio Intel Officer) are secretly working from the UCO office as plants for NSA surveillance of seniors.  This Wi-Fi business is all a front to steal the old folk's secrets.
I am one of those malcontents, and I can honestly tell you, I have not heard such a rumor. I also had no idea that Mr. Ed Black was a USAF Radio Intel Officer – thanks to the heads up.  I can now surmise; the popular news about the NSA spying of honest citizens has forced the David Israel Gang to have one of their puppet's posts this piece of misinformation to ward off the possibility that  blameless residents might believe they are  casualties of his spying.
Are we? We may be since he worked for the NSA.

  1. You should consider checking with a psych about these paranoid delusions.
What a person did for a living before they retired doesn't mean a thing. If you are a retired postal worker, does that mean you will check all the mail that is sent out or deliver it when it comes in? No. If you were an engineer on the railroad, will you start hanging around the tracks? I doubt it. Even prostitutes eventually have to give up their corner.
Why would you think that just because Dave worked for the NSA and Ed was a radio intel officer that they would be here to spy on Century Village. Once again...ludicrous. Maybe if you had any idea of what the military does, then you would think differently.
Plain and simple, your head needs to be removed from another body part for you to see clearly.

  2. The only one who seems to be spouting off about this so called rumor are the supposed targets of the rumor. I believe they just want more attention. And they do not get it - no one cares what job they had before they came here. It is a non issue as far as others are concerned. It has nothing to do with what is going on with the leaks and Snowden. What Snowden did is wrong and opens people to peril but one cannot also give blanket permission for a government to operate without rein and checks an balances or we get the experiments and tests that were done and to corruption . This is simply leading to the statement again that all government must be transparent and that "secrets" must be carefully chosen and be righteous.

  3. Thank you for your honesty in saying you had not heard of such a rumor, Olga. I only disagree with what you surmise, that "Mike" is one of Dave's and Ed's "puppets." So far as I can make out, he is emphatically not, but rather, is kind of his own "wild man" on Dave's blog. (I guess you know about that phenomenon!)

Moreover, I don't get your point that Dave and Ed, IF in league with Mike as you suggest, would profit by Mike's bringing this to light. You speak of posting "this piece of MISINFORMATION"—I'm glad you call it that. But "to ward off the possibility that blameless residents might believe they are casualties of his spying"? How would it WARD OFF such suspicions? I can only see that it might arouse them!

Or by some twisted theory is this a kind of reverse psychology you think is at work? That's too much of a stretch for me. I would simply counter that the arousal of suspicions would greatly outweigh any allaying of suspicions on the grounds that Mike is "obviously to all a kook, so let's all be assured that the truth is the opposite of what he says." Doesn't make sense to me. This would be Dave and Ed putting their heads right in the mousetrap.

For my money, Mike is just Mike, a loose cannon on the Internet. There are tons of them, as you know. Dave and Ed aren't "in league" as Mike (I believe) humorously suggests just to get a rise out of everyone—Dave, Ed, you, others who have commented, and now me! It might have been better for us to have paid no attention to this sick puppy.

  4. Lanny, when one pays no attention to an outrageous liar and simply says to ignore them as they are just buffoons, what do we get - a Hitler and other evil beings. I am not suggesting any comparison but lies and ridiculous statements must be addressed. People will believe all sorts of things and need to hear the truth.

  5. FICTIONAL STORY

    David Israel:
Hey Ed, ever since the Snowden story broke, the residents think we’re spying on them for the NSA.

    Ed Black:
    Don’t worry about it.
    David Israel:
No, it’s serious. We have to do something. Got any ideas?
    Ed Black:
Let me think. - OK, let’s get that fictional guy Mike to put a post on your block saying the Malcontents are spreading rumors - let them believe that our spying is only a rumor. This will take the pressure off us. We’ll be the good guys, after all we’re doing such a fantastic job trashing these malcontents; people are going to believe anything you say about them. If they believe it’s THEIR rumor, we’re gonna look like innocent victims, and nobody will ever believe we are spying on them.

    David Israel:
    Good, let’s do it.

    END OF STORY
