I read this Gary, and you're right..............I couldn't stop reading until the end. I come from a very similar area in New Jersey where the fishing industry is a major industry - Brick and Point Pleasant Beach. I know and knew many of the commercial fisherman and went to school with many of them. It is a much more dangerous and demanding profession than most people realize. Many of our boys and young men worked through their high school years on the fishing boats, and they made excellent money. I was very concerned because one of my sons had seriously entertained the idea of making this his life profession, and I was scared to death. Thankfully, I was finally able to breathe when he went to work for AT&T Bell Labs.
