Just exactly who is responsible for the disruption at the latest Delegates Meeting? Take a look at the latest Video. Here you see a delegate trying to speak. Trying to say what he thinks should be said and what happens? The head of the meeting, the Chair of the Meeting decides that he don't want any more from this Delegate so he over-rides his mike and shuts him down.
What should of been done is to follow Roberts Rules. We have a timer on every commenter. Not including the Chair. She should be the one to end a Delegate's time at the Mike.
If you look the commenter was talking and the Chair had had enough so he shut the talker down arbitrarily. The timer did not even come into play. The commenter asked why he was being shut off and the Chair started to yell 'Disruption, Disruption". And there is the start of a disrupted meeting; Started by the Great Disrupter himself. Is this how we want the DM run. Some people are free to talk all they want and some are limited or cut off?
I say NO!
I say we need a new Chairman for the DM We need Randy Bouchard the Roberts Rules Expert.
