WiFi revisited, again

This was posted on Dave's Blog. The answer to Helene's question is easy. Look at Wellington A we have 42 units successfully hooked up. Dave's opinion is clouded by his zeal to build his own private site. Probably if he did he would kee me, Wellington A, and others out.

Comcast wifi installation in our association.

One of our unit owners has suggested installing Comcast WIFI throughout our association. Three routers would serve our 24 units. Apparently Coventry J has gone this way. I would like to know how well this system would support our association . During the Snowbird season we have 19 units who have Internet and using multiple devices. For example..laptops, tablets, e-readers, voip phones, video streaming Total cost would be $1,300 for installation and then $123. per month for service which equals to $5.12 for each unit owner. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

  1. David Israel, as usual, is talking with forked tongue. This is an installation by Comcast with high speed and good connection and the association with have installed it are well satisfied. David's plan is the one that will leave us open to inadequacy, to worms, to tunneling and to inversion. We do not need one system for the entire village nor its high cost in terms of money, especially in times of great change in this industry. David's last effort, which we defeated, proved to be a total bust in Boca CV. It would have cost us millions for nothing.

  2. I SAID IT ONCE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN. MY BUILDING HAS SUCCESSFULLY INTALLED WI-FI. WE EACH PAY $6.30 PER MONTH; A FAR CRY FROM THE $40.00 + I USE TO PAY. IT'S WORKING FINE. MANY OF US HAVE ROKU - CELL PHONES ETC. DAVID ISRAEL HAS THE HOTS FOR VILLAGE WI-FI. I THINK IT'S ABOUT TIME HE RELIEVES HIMSELF AND GETS WITH THE PROGRAM OF ENCOURAGING EACH ASSOCIATION TO INSTALL THEIR OWN WI-FI.

  3. You are so right. David Israel has no business standing in the way of associations who want to Wi-Fi their building. Kudos to the ones who have installed Wi-Fi. They have the courage to stand on their own. Also, I have heard David say many times at the delegate assembly that UCO/he cannot interfere with any association's business. Isn't this a contradiction?
