BETTIE BLECKMAN HAS NOW PROCLAIMED HERSELF QUEEN OF CENTURY VILLAGE.

She has taken it upon herself to inform and advise every President of every private club in Century Village to disallow any guest from making a political speech. She believes politics has no place in any Club.  This means if a politician is running for President he/she will be barred from speaking at any Club in Century Village.

I guess she does not realize that here in the good ole USA; we have an elected Government and in order for us to determine who to choose it is necessary for candidates to make speeches and express their views to the public. One of the ways they do this is to communicate in person to select audiences.    Maybe Bettie would prefer we elect our officials using a Wee Gee Board. Not me, I prefer the good old-fashioned way. I like seeing a candidate in person up close, warts and all.

It appears that Madame Bleckman has joined forces with DAVID Israel and his gang that also believe in the destruction of free speech.

What next Bettie? Shall we all Bow to you?

  1. If Betty feels this way, why did she bother to come to the meeting held by Esther? I know she was there, because I saw her. If you don't like political meetings, just don't go. Everyone has a right to freedom of speech........even Dave, although he doesn't allow it for others. This is absolutely ridiculous and unAmerican.

  2. Ha! I guess there are actually 3 people we'll never see again if Dave ever stops short. I used to think there were only 2. Sorry to hear this. I always liked her, but this is assinine.

    1. OOPS! Pardon me Bettie, I was informed that you belonged to ALL the clubs in Century Village and if you did not belong to ALL, you managed to put your 2 cents into their affairs.
You also neglected to mention that the very Club you decided should not have a political speaker allowed YOUR FRIEND Frank Cornish to speak at length when he ran for President of UCO.
Stop being a hypocrite. It behooves someone of your supposed intelligence.

You also forgot to mention that that

    2. You seem to have OVERLOOKED one ioda....A PAID UP Member
spoke, at that time, and not someone's GUEST, attending a Membership
Dinner! Furthermore, if you re-read my e mails to you, I INFORMED YOU, that I would request THE CLUBS, I support , honor my request...
I had no idea, I influenced the ENTIRE SOCIAL STRUCTURE of our
      Village.

    3. Dear Bettie,

Let me set the record straight once and for all. I also happen to be a member of the club in which we speak of. Dot Loewenstein called the President of the club and asked permission for Esther Sutofsky who is running for President of UCO to introduce herself and speak a few words. When you and your friend B.C. saw Esther sitting with me at the table, your mouth began to foam. You started to express your anger openly in an extreme childish way and went immediately to the President of the club to complain. As a result, Esther did not speak and the members were deprived of information that another person would be challenging David Israel. As far as I am concerned, your actions were childish and abominable.
You may not influence the entire social structure of the village but you sure as in hell try.

    5. Unlike yourself, who manages to gain more "fans" at each Delegate Assembly, I have never attempted to distort anyone's intentions, nor
influence them. Why don't you have the Decency to Post, the e mails
sent to you, from me, and let the reader's draw their own conclusion?
Of course, that would be the RIGHT thing to do, and NOT OLGA'S
      impression -

    7. Dear Bettie,

So nice of you to share your opinion, now I will share mine.

To set the record straight, Dot Loewenstein contacted Lilli and asked for permission to have Esther, who is running for President of UCO introduce herself at the Latin club and say a few words, which, in my opinion, was a valid request since there were no rules in place for speakers.

I also recall very vividly when Frank Cornish was running for President of UCO, he gave a lengthy speech at the Latin Club. You must be under the impression that YOUR FRIENDS are special and therefore, entitled to privileges not afforded others; I don't think so.

In the future, I suggest you gather all your facts before rendering any opinion the way you did at

David Israel's recall hearing. Tis better to keep ones mouth shut when one does not know rather than make a fool of herself.

For the record, I spoke to Lilli today and she apologized to me when I reminded her about Frank Cornish speaking at the club. She told me she was going to notify all the members that this was only a social club and in the future was going to keep politics out.

I also do not appreciate you threatening me about going to other clubs and telling them to reject

requests for political exposure. All clubs should have the freedom to make their own choice. They do not need you to tell them what to do.

Whether you realize it or not. Politics is a way of life. You do not control the world.

    8. I have honored your request to print these emails. I had no intention of bringing this issue to the air waves, but since you decided to send me your original nasty email, I changed my mind.
I now longer wish to pursue this issue with you because I feel your opinions are set in stone.
      Have a nice day!
