Carnigies how to Influence people

So what happened at the Delegate Meeting Friday? It seems that the Boys lost some of their control. But, El Presidente showed us his regular side. The man cannot run a meeting without getting some of the participants mad and out of control. His problem is that he wants to start a comment stream, get everybody caught up in it and then turn it off with a twist of his wrist. I don't think so.

Today was a case in point.  He had the commenter's lined up to talk and after a while he decided to shut the last speaker off, in the middle of his comment. Didn't happen. So he asked the Delegates to vote on his expulsion, they did and he was expulsed from the meeting.

But the real problem here is not the commenter's, and the Malcontents, but the Chair itself. David Israel does not know how to run a meeting. He must learn how to slow the commenter's down and then stop them to move the meeting on.

The way to do this can be learned. I suggest Carnegie's course on "How to win friends and Influence people." Barring this I suggest we fire him. At the rate he is going on the best that can be said that he will drive one of the Delegates Meeting into a shouting match and fist fight.

You think I am not aware of the time constraints of one of these meetings? I am. I still say the Meeting is too tight, Israel wants to get to much done to fast.

The delgates are entitled to get the facts of a situation that is to be voted on, and bring it back to the Condo to hear from the Unit Holders, and then vote.

He cannot get away with shouting down a commenter and or throwing him out of the Meeting. He must learn the nicer way to do things.

What we need is a different chairman. Why can't we use someone that is not so much invested in this meeting?

How about Randy Bouchard, the "Roberts Rules" expert to run the Delegates meetings? He would run a quite, sensible meeting. Wouldn't he?
