The triple meeting

The truth on what The Great One wants in Wi-Fi and Why.

So what happened at the Emergency Triple Meetings held Thursday Morning? The Finance Committee held a meeting followed by the UCO Officers followed by the executive Board.

After a lively discussion and sometimes a boisterous one votes were taken.

The end result was that the Budget was turned down by the officers, and past by both the Finance and Executive board. Now it is going to the Delegates Assembly for a up or down vote.(Can the delegates change a line item in the budget?) Yes!, No!, Maybe! - depends on when you ask the Great One.

The date of the momentous meeting is the same date that the US  Government is planning on defaulting. Is there a message here?

OOPs he's changed the delegate meeting to 11/1 in the hopes that more of the out of town delegates will show up. Of Course these out of  town delegates should all have resident alternates so that that will not make a difference. This is nothing more than the good president maneuvering and strategizing.  So we will see.

What really went on was a fight over whether the Wi-Fi expense ($1,$2,or $3) should be included in the budget. Apparently Dave and his Pals have changed their thinking a little bit. Now they say we have in the bank $288K and we want another approximately $200k ($2/unit/month ) to be left in the bank and not spent. To be available if or when we decide on a Wi-Fi vendor.

This is a big change in The Mighty ones' thinking, because the previous remark he made was to pass the Wi-Fi initiative and we are ready to go to contract, (after all the bid committee is irrelevant) and we could have Wi-Fi by 2014.

Now all he wants is for us to put the money away until we (he) are ready. The opposition says why pay it into the future, first get all the costs together, and I mean all the costs,  get all the plans together and then we can go forward. There is no rush here. This is just Mr. Israel's' anxiousness to get his legacy going on its way.
