Yesterday, there was an interesting meeting for newcomers, to introduce them to relevant people in UCO and WPRF and answer questions they might have. Each person spoke a piece about his or her own area but when it came to answer questions, a very interesting phenomenon took place. David Israel answered almost every question, without even giving another person a chance in most cases and when Dom gave an answer, David Israel then took the mike and said he had a correction in which case he turned the numbers around. Instead of 20% one way, he stressed the 80% the other way.
But what was most interesting was the fact that on the table were heaps of business cards advertising, pushing David Israel's personal blog. He did say it was HIS blog but then the question is - why was he allowed to do that?
Eva, you read the blog, so the question is to you. Why was a personal blog with extraneous and divisive material, denigrating to others, allowed to be pushed at a welcome newbies meeting? In the interests of fair play, of which you say you are a proponent, then either this blog should not have been mentioned, with business cards for it on the table, or the other blog which relates to the Village and also has pertinent information on it, like the Bylaws, etc. as well as comments should also have been allowed and/ or mentioned. I, too, could have brought business cards.Please explain the reasoning behind what happened.
The other interesting item to mention, one which almost caused me to choke, was when David Israel mentions in oh such a sincere and stern voice that people should always check the financials of the Association where they live. Never trust anyone because one never knows; there are crooks here too! Well, really, David Israel? Should I have stood up then and mentioned the whole shifting of funds from reserve accounts to others without permission, the moving of funds overnight, the shenanigans you play with refusing to sign checks in UCO now in your petty little war of persecution against Dorothy? Pot calling other possible kettles black? Or maybe you should have said you are an expert in this area as you have indulged in bypassing bylaws and regulations.

ReplyDeleteWell all I can say about this is if you are willing to give Dave you name,address. social security number and all other pertinent info then I would avoid it at all costs.
